The Mekong Elephant Camp sits on the banks of the Mekong opposite the village of Pakbeng. The Mekong Elephant Camp offers visitors the chance to discover the privileged role elephants play in Lao culture while also taking in the spectacular natural surroundings. The camp offers visitors the chance to go on short elephant rides of 1, 2 or 3+ hours or to go on full elephant trek of two days through natural surroundings well off the standard tourist trail.

Highly recommend visiting Mekong Elephant Camp. I always like to see elephants in their natural setting v a zoo. Elephants are very intelligent . Definitely these elephants. Tip : sunscreen,sunhat, water, insect repellent , camera

Our family had a great time with the elephant bathing and riding. The elephants here were so sweet, and it looked like that they were treated fairly well,unlike other establishment that using elephant in tourism. I don't believe in putting a seat on an elephant it compresses his ribs, so a walk in the forest or down to the river is perfect. the elephants here are sweet and the mahouts very nice.

It was lovely to have a nice friendly elephant ride here. the elephants appeared to be well treated and happy.

The Elephant bathing is just a great moment of fun. We did a short ride and enjoyed it. We would have take the long one if we have had enough time.

A two hour tour in the forest, not a lot to see but a fun excursion to do with the family. Bring lots of bug spray!
