These caves, found up the hill from the Matanzas Bay, in Cuba, are an interesting look underground. Similar to Carlsbad Caverns, on a smaller scale, you can get a glimpse of hidden nature--caves, stalactites, stalagmites, pools, sneak places and amazing places.

Wow. An absolute must see in Matanzas. Amazing cave which is the oldest tourist attraction in Cuba. Lots of steps but well worth it. Tour guides are multi-lingual and excellent.

Tricky finding the caves when you go there with a rental car. Upon arrival the parking attendant will direct you where to park, then upon departure, request the standard 1CUC parking fee (common all over Cuba it seems). The adjacent restaurant is a great place to have a local cocktail/drink and have some excellent local cuban food! The portions are... More

If you've been in caves before this one will not amaze you. Truthfully the drive there was more interesting than the cave itself. The entry cavern was the most interesting, being the only large room we saw. There are a few stalactites and such, but once we left that room the way was cramped and really just a bunch of... More

Loved it loved it loved it It is so beautiful A must see Our tour guide was great and had an awesome sense of humor. Stairs getting back up on way out where a little rough to climb but I blame that on me being a smoker

My trip to cuba included a free excursion to the Bellamar Caves in Matanzas. Overall, i'm glad I elected to go. As a tourist you only get to go into a small section of the cave, but where you do go is still wonderful. It's a long climb down hundreds of steps to reach the caves. The steps are dark... More

Well organized visit, with lots of helpful and insightful information about the geological history of island provided by a well trained guide that culminated with delicious lunch at the restaurant in the premises.

My husband and I took this tour through our Sunwing rep and we're very pleased. Our tour guide Umberto was great! I would recommend you wear running shoes and loose clothes. It is very humid in the caves and if you have issues with your knees and climbing I would defiantly not suggest this for you or people with asthma... More

Loved exploring this beautiful cave system. There were many different formations and crystals that left you in awe. A little on the humid side so be sure and take some water.
