A hidden gem in Bayahibe. Hire a motoconcho/guide ($10) and get a park pass ($2.50) and spend your afternoon looking at and swimming in some cool caves. We went there and had the caves to ourselves for most of an hour before another couple showed up. Kids loved it.

We took the Pirate Ship tour to Saona Island. The kids (4 and 6) loved it. Everyone was dressed up as Pirates and the 13 people staff did a great job in animation. Saona island is as close as it gets to tropical paradise: beautiful sand beaches, turquoise water and palm trees. You have to take a boat tour to... More

you have to buy a ticket in Bayahibe to enter the park. Then you have to engage a guide or tour to access the park. fairly confusing system. You should book thru your hotel if you dont speak at least some spanish

We visited Saona Island with a catamaran. On our way to the island we stopped to see the star fish. They were huge and amazing. Saona is one of the most beautiful places on Earth!

We took a horseback ride with Rancho Bayahibe into the Park and got to climb down into a cave. There was an underground spring you could take a dip in. Very refreshing! It was very enjoyable day and one of the highlights of our trip.
