Nice relaxing day

This is a great public beach! There are a few rocks on the bottom of the ocean floor so its best to wear water shoes, but it really isn't too bad. There are a few economical restaurants on the beach with very friendly waiters. You can also negotiate a trip to Saona or Catalina from the beach area, much more... More

Try to get there early so you can have a parking spot and good spot to set up. An umbrella with two loungers was $15 USD. Beach was very clean, I didn't see any trash (which is rare in the DR outside the all-inclusives). Great for splashing around and swimming, but not for snorkeling. There are parasailing and small catamaran... More

If you are in the area but not staying in a resort hotel this is the place to go, there are chairs available for rent, and some places where you can buy food and drinks. It is a bit crowded on the weekends and holidays.

This beach and and surrounding beaches were beautiful. We met at this public beach to do our sea bob excursion. A little rocky getting in but after that...clean blue waters. There is parking and shade if you need it. We stayed at Be Live Canoa which had a beautiful beach but we spent time at both public beaches on either... More

We loved visiting the public beaches of Dominicus. The most beautiful beach is south of Dominicus near that national park. Long stretch of white sand. Gorgeous turquoise water with sandy bottom. Some nice gentle waves in the water. We also visited the public beaches closer to the town of Bayahibe. The water is very nice there, as well as the... More

We had a lovely time at Dominicus Beach. It is very pretty with lovely sand and palm trees. Much quieter than the resort beaches on either side which were blasting bad music a lot of the time. We rented chairs and umbrellas and for 2 of each I think we paid more like 15 for the day. Not a bad... More

It's ok beach. A lot of resorts have their part but it stays accessible to everyone. Nothing exceptional but nice. A lot on the side of the main beach is rocky and/or not clean. Better stay where some people are

Most beautiful beach I have seen in the Dominican Republic. They have some great sandbars just off the shore. There are vendors to buy drinks and food from. I would bring towels and beer.
