If you're looking to leave your fancy all-inclusive resort and check out a public beach, the one in Bayahibe is great. Rent a car/take a taxi and check it out. Once there you can pay a few bucks (~US$4) to rent a lounge chair and umbrella for the day, and enjoy drinks/food at your leisure for a few more dollars.... More

I loved the beach. Easy access to shops and the town. Water is usually clear but it rained the day we were there. Would go back

I got on a shuttle with other families and paid $15 from the port. It was about a 30 mins. ride. We all agreed on a certain time to get back. Once we got there, it was breathtaking. It was a bit crowded, but had plenty of room to swim. Met some friends and got on the kayak. They served... More

Well, I have to say that the beach was an amazing view and it was breath taking. It was also a clean beach filled with wonderful staff making the stay very entertaining. Everyone walks around with a smile on their faces and are very humble. You can count on us to continue going to this resort. Best vacation ever.

The place is dirty with bad smell all the time. Occupied by always drunk locals, not safe at all, stay away but be very careful if you need to be there

We weren't too sure of what do while were in port( here on cruise). everyone suggested bayihabe, so we hopped in a cab and headed over. The beach was beautiful, it was clean and really nice. We rented some loungers and took it all in. There were straw type huts with things for sale and we couldn't pass up the... More

We rented a car at the Punta Cana airport. We stayed at the Casa de Campo resort near La Romana. It was a 20 minute drive from the private villa we were staying in. The public beach was easy to find with free parking (there are locals who are looking for a tip to help you park, but you don't... More
