We perform checks on reviews.
Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Magic atmosphere in autumn -nice colours in the woods around. And nice to see such an old place and imagine how it was used when it was built.

The feat of the monastery is to have two domes, but there is nothing really special. All the painting inside are modern or copies.
It is located in quiet area.
There is a monk always there to verify that you enter properly dressed (no bare legs for men and women, and with a shawl on the head for women).
You cannot go further, as the trail leads to the living quarters of the monks (a former luxury hotel during soviet times).

In short, don't make a detour, but if you pass by, why not.

Gurjaani Kvelatsminda church is the only church in Georgia, which has two domes. If you are really interesting in art&architecture, when you must visit this place. There are so many astonishing small details about this church.

We were there on Sunday - unfortunately just at the end of the mass - would be better if we could be sooner. That was all very exciting.

This place if off the beaten path. No tourists are going there, but it is one of the most enjoyable places we’ve visited in Kakheti.

The relaxing walk from the parking lot to the monastery puts you in the meditative mood. The monastery itself has unique architecture – no any other two-dome churches/monasteries can be found in Georgia.

After visiting the church please don’t leave right away. Allow to spend a few extra minutes on the bench under the trees, listen to the silence interrupted only by birds. I guarantee, you’ll be rejuvenated.
