About
Soak up the romantic Mediterranean vibes and architecture along the cobbled streets of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore the labyrinth of historic houses, bars and restaurants, and quaint little shops selling souvenirs, Greek food, olive wood, and handcrafted goods. From the old town, you can visit the Old and New Fortresses that offer a slice of Corfu's maritime history, and amazing views of the town and sea; Spianada Square is also a great spot for people-watching and is a stone’s throw away from the Corfu Museum of Asian Art—all of which are typical stops on a tour of Corfu. – Tripadvisor

Lovely place for a wander around
We visited Corfu town for the day whilst we were on holiday about an hour away from the town. It's an old town with a mixture of shops, cafes and historical places (church, castle etc). Quite small in the main area so a few hours will suffice to get a good look round.

Explore Corfu old town at your leisur
Old Corfu town is very quaint with lots of narrow streets lined with individual shops. We stayed in an AirBnB in the town centre which was an ideal location for seeing the sites. Having hired a car we found a private car lot nearby to our accommodation and parked there for 3 days. Old Corfu town is definitely worth a visit, however can become extremely busy when the cruise ships are in port.

    Beautiful Town
One of the most beautiful small towns I have ever visited. The streets are packed with lovely shops, cafes, restaurants, bars, etc. Lovely Venetian architecture with quaint side streets to wander around. Nightlife is buzzing! Just beautiful!

    Definitely worth a visit
Beautiful old town to walk round with cobbled streets. Lots of restaurants & shops to wander around. Lovely harbour. We did an evening trip from Kavos, cost 15 euros each for the return trip. Leaving Kavos at 6pm takes an hour to get there, leaving Kavos at 11.30 pm for the return. There are earlier times available

Fun walk with lots of shopping opportunities
The Old Town of Corfu is an attractive shopping and restaurant area with narrow walkways. Lots of tourists but everyone seems on reasonably good behavior and is friendly. There are a variety of shopping alternatives and the opportunity to compare prices since there are at least two similar stores on almost every block. Quality of goods seem a plus. Because of buildings, there is less heat beating on you in this area so walking around can be pleasant. Many good choices for food and drink as well.

Corfu, Greece - An old city worth your time
This ancient town is full of interesting places to see and experience. The Old Town has narrow streets with beautiful architecture and history at every turn. The twists and turns were easy to be lost in, but we always knew we would find our way out. It's exciting, not intimidating. Small restaurants and shops everywhere and worth your time.

A lovely escape from the sun
A lovely place to escape to, have a walk down the alleyways and see what you can find. Plenty of small shops selling everything from (olive) wood sculptures to typical Greek towels with a lot of souvenir shops. You won’t have to walk far to find somewhere to sit and have an ice cream/pizza/Greek coffee. When it’s a very hot day the shaded roads and air conditioned shops are a lovely escape. If you go after 6-7pm it becomes alive again and much more lively. We even found live music to listen to.

    Wonderful Corfu Town
Beautiful Corfu Town is unique and historical with so much to see and do. The buildings with Venetian influence are so pretty. It was nice strolling through the many picturesque narrow streets. Lots of nice restaurants, bars and shops selling local produce such as honey, olive oil and much more. A great selection of delicious ice cream to choose from. A must see is St. Spiridon Church, the patron saint of Corfu. On certain days open air events take place on the square and the marching band was amazing. Spending time at Liston in the evening and enjoying cooling drinks was so nice. The Corfiot locals were very friendly. Wonderful place, can’t wait to go back. Highly recommend.

Great place to explore for half a day
The Old Town is fascinating to meander around. Lots of alley ways, interesting shops, picturesque settings. Lots of little court yards with cafes, or tavernas. There's lots of things to see, such as museums, churches, forts etc. We arrived before 10.00 on a wednesday morning and the car park near the Old Fort was queuing to get in, so we parked near the Old Port, which was maybe a 5 - 10 minute walk away. We spent all morning walking around, looking at the Old Fort, St Spyros Church, Asian Art Museum and stopped for a drink and then for lunch. It was hot, but the AC at the museum was really good! We then escaped the crowds and headed to a beach on the East coast, on our way home.

A very vibrant little town packed with the usual cafes, bars and shops, its a pleasant walk with the castles on view on mostly flat ground. the town itself has described as a rip-off for tourist one Dutch guy complained that 1 beer and a coffee cost 16 euros, the people at my hotel also made comments on the expensive shops and the general cost of things.

This is a friendly, colourful town full of activity and interest. The local people are easy to engage with and enjoy conversation and contact. We stayed at the excellent Corfu Palace Hotel just five minutes from the Old Town, so every day, after breakfast, we walked around the streets and explored the historical museums and buildings. Our only upset was being ripped off by a (so-called) cocktail bar in the Old Town and being laughed at by the two waiters when we complained about the excessive prices. BEWARE, good Corfiotes, these guys will bring you a bad reputation if you allow them to. It takes very little to corrupt your good reputation.

We loved Corfu town. Busy during the cruise ship periods but well worth the visit. There are some wonderful lanes with an abundance of shops. As ever these shops will vary from some cheap toursity type goods to some up market products. There are so many lovely restaurants and bars and we found the majority of them to be reasonably priced and good value for money. The views over the port are beautiful and the clear blue waters very inviting. The Greek people are so incredibly friendly and welcoming. This is our fourth visit to Greece in 4 years and we intend to have many more. On our arrival into Corfu Town we saw a Jacaranda tree a stunnig violet blossom, Native to South America but imported. We have never seen this type of tree before and were mesmerised by it.
