We heard the story of the Church of Paraportiani prior to arriving in Mykonos. We finally located it and we're sorely disappointed to find the entire site closed. All you can do is walk around the unmarked building and leave. Not much to see.

We had just eaten at the Restaurant which takes its name from this Idyllic Church and went for a wander. Lovely piece of Greek History on Mykonos and a must visit for you on your trip.

Walk straight to it if you walk to the beach from the Mykonos town. Historic landmark for this town.

Really nothing much to see in the church except snap a pic! In fact Mykonos town can be walked around in half a day and most sites can be seen. It's more of a place to chill at restaurants or beaches and not much of...More
