I have visited this place. It is worth a visit. Sometimes the doors are closed, so you can only see the outside of the building. Make sure you wait until they open the doors, so you also can see the inside of the church. You...More

An absolute must; kids playing football, a nice little market and set on the river, this is truly a representation of the culture of this city. Very nice for sunset also.

Beautiful. As if it were in Europe. The last place I'd expect to find a such a work of art. It was only unfortunate that we did not get to go inside as it was after 5pm.

This is one of the main attraction in Chanthaburi not to be missed during your visit. It is located in the heart of the city near to some canals. Very historic place.

It’s a pretty nice cathedral, worth a few minutes of your time. You need to dress appropriate (sarongs can be borrowed at the side entrance for free).

The cathedral makes a wonderful sight as you cross the river . It has fairly short opening hours if you want to go inside.

We attended a Saturday service here, its nice but nothing special. The Cathedral is on huge grounds with parking, community hall and all the other buildings subsidiary to a christian community. At the back there is bridge that leads to the Chantaboon Street.

Readily accessible. Expected some walking or climbing to get there but the area was level with the rest of the town and the church interior was superb, tranquil and very inviting for devotees and tourists. Cloth to cover exposed legs or shoulders are available for...More

Obviously, in a country with a 95% Buddhist population, one does not expect to come across a Catholic cathedral, a reminder of the period between 1894 and 1904 when the area was occpied by France. The architectural aesthetics of the exterior are a matter of...More
