I sailed through the gorge on a Sinorama cruise , the gorge is lovely and as others have said before it makes you wonder what it was like before it was flooded and now covered with 150 m of water. just off the main river is the Goddess stream and if you get a chance to go along there do... More

The Wu Gorge is the second gorge of the Three Gorges.It starts from Wushan mountains to Badong with a 45km length. One wonder what this would of been like before this land was flooded to be able to take the river cruise that we took. It is hard to believe that the water has been raised 150 meters It would of been nice to travel this gorge before the water level has got to today. It was probably great farm land... More

Probably over-rated in my book but still most interesting. It makes you wonder what it looked like with 150metres less water in the Gorge.

Our Cruise through the Wu Gorge was wonderfully scenic, with the 12 Peaks rearing above the Gorge, reaching from the waterline in a series of steep slopes, a mix of bare rock face and lush green vegetation. Visited last May. 7 day Yangtze cruise from Xian through Chongquing including the fabulous three gorges. The Wu Gorge was the second smaller gorge but it was a stunning stretch. Excellent views along both sides of the Yangtze river but especially the 12 peeks including Goddess Peak in the Wu Gorge.
