Just 3 hours from there lies this mountain range. a two hour trek will take you to the top where you will be overlooking the entire mountain range. the view os truly breath-taking esp in monsoon.

We went from pune via junner by bike. If you are coming from Mumbai..then you have to trek to reach all the way up. Weather is nice in rainy season. But please don't go when heavy rainfall is going on. Place is quite - windy and greenery is nice to watch. Caves are beautiful. Also there is peak called thumb... More

Pathetic conditions of roads to reach naneghat. For atleast a few kilometers, the road doesn't exist and its huge stones. So unless you have a SUV and want to risk damage to car suspension, don't go. Very beautiful if you reach the top.

Monsoons in Maharashtra are the best time for treks to the forts/temples/caves atop the sahyadris. Naneghat is a similar scenic monsoon trek near Malshej Ghat. Not very difficult to get there by rail or road. By rail - Get off at Kalyan station where you will find buses to get to the Trek starting point. You can get more details... More
