The museum is ok, and informative, but not overwhelming, and when we went the toilet didn't flush. However, the real treat is the fairly elderly gentleman who tells you the history. Listen carefully as his English is heavily accented, but don't dare be distracted by...More

The famous 'Dr. Livingstone, I presume?' meeting place of Stanley and Livingstone. Very good guide who explained everything. Memorial to where they met and good interior centre with lots of details. Definitely worth a visit.

The museum a is at the place where Livingstone and Stanley met under a mango tree. A guide tells you the story and afterwards there is few exponates about Livingstone and the region around Kigoma. Interesting, but the entrance fee is way too high.

They've done a good job making this an interesting place to visit. I'm very interested in Livingstone, so of course I like it, but even my wife found it mildly entertaining.

The museum is simple but newly renovated. It makes a nice presentation of a very important history. And the guide, mzee, is fantastic!

If you've ever been fascinated by stories of Dr Livingstone's adventures and exploration, this is a really cool place to visit. I thought the elderly gentleman guide was the real highlight of the place though! He added a few twists and a lot of details...More

Yes it's a small collection and Livingstone is so well documented you can find information easily, but seeing the place makes it worth the visit. The guide was friendly and interesting and it's as much about the monument and the mango tree as it is...More
