I went to the Palau Tikus morning market specifically to track down some delicious putu mayam and Putu Piring. Whilst there I also found some tasty ban chang kuih. If you're staying the the city centre it's easy to get a uber to the market.

We went back in time. The wet market was truly old world yet clean. Breakfast here was excellent. Nothing touristy about this place - just local Penang with its charm.
