We walked from Naini Retreat hotel to Sherwood school, past Gurney House (once home to the legendary Jim Corbett), and then climbed up to Dorothy's Seat. This is not a commonly-taken route so was very peaceful though somewhat longer and steeper. We did not meet anyone on the way up! The view from the top was absolutely breath-taking especially the... This is a tourist attraction for Nainital visitors, people prefer to go on this hill top by Horses, although one can walk. View from here is good.

Must visit place in Nainital. One can walk or can go on horse's back. It is a beautiful nature walk through the jungle. The top is known as Dorothy's seat, gives you a panoramic view of Nainital. During the season time you have lots of visitors... there are couple of restaurants serving fast food. ..

Good place for a small outing and trek. Horse rides are available to and fro but not advisable. In fact, be alert because they will try to fleece you with higher charges and also male riders have to ride the horse on their own. Best to avoid horse ride, if you don't really need to.

Can b reached by a bumpy horse ride. Beware of the horse keepers. Rate is fixed at 700 rs. Tiffin top nd Dorothy seat are different places; one after another. Few adventures available. Famous schools of Nainital seen from the top.

Tiffin Top is a hilltop at a height of 2292 m and is around 6 km away from Mallital. Popularly known as Dorothy's Seat, this spot is dedicated to an English artist called Dorothy Kellet. I loved this place a lot.

Been there by recommendation of one of the local guy, and it was worth visiting. You can reach there either by horse ride or through a 1.5 km walk trail. Place is surrounded by oak trees and you can also get some good maggie from those small canteen.

View from top is really good. You can see whole Nainital amid fresh air and superb mountains. It feel refreshing. But for me highpoint is Horse Ride . Will remember Bella and Michael (Our Horses) forever. Bella The quite and self-guided horse and Michael the young and sometimes bit risky Horse. But its almost 6-7 Kms ride ((to & fro)... More
