We had well spent a family vacation at Nainital. Very pleassant climate. No need of AC. 2 days are sufficient to visit Nainital and nearby attractions.

A must see place. There is a counter of Uttarakhand Tourism Development Corporation who issues prepaid boat tickets at Boat House. Apart from this there are several unauthorised ticket counters who catch tourists and do not let them go to authorised ticket counter of UTDC....More

The Famous Lake is unfortunately a let down. Due to the mushrooming of commercial establishments around the Lake, the water level has drastically dropped. The Lake is very dirty as people have thrown garbage and filth around it particularly towards the Naina Devi Temple side....More

looks good surrounded by hotels on one side (mall) and forests on other side, keeps changing colour as per weather , good for pedal and rowing ride. if good row man he will tell you full history of lake and the town

Delhi to haldwani very smooth but avoid night travel especially with family....single road from haldwani to nainital...smooth road except a few breaks....be careful during rains as it can be tricky....at some places narrow... More

I would not venture in the lake with anything like a bag or something which can easily fall off in the lake. So actually never tried it. Should not risk it

you can take a direct flight to delhi or dehradun jolly grant airport . from here you need to take a taxi OR if you wish to go by train the nearest railhead is Kathgodam or Haldwani . if you wish to enjoy the scenery it is... More
