Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

No description/information of the site except from a sign in Greek with no translation about construction work and 500.000 euro funding from the European Union. Perhaps go see it in 2020

Came across the Arsenal by accident while exploring the area, There were no signs to say what the structure was but as I had seen pictures on tripadvisor before I recognised it. Set in a no descript field with no singnage or anything it was quite underwhelming.

I think this site has UNESCO World Heritage status, it’s a shame the local authorities don’t look after it.
It was fenced and gated and locked when we visited. It appears there was a sort of visitor centre/entrance etc but that was shut and dilapidated. The site was somewhat overgrown also and there is no signage or information about the history or indeed anything.
It’s such a shame that people in these holiday areas are only interested in anything that makes someone money and they can’t see the value in this sort of historical site.

This ( like a lot of historic monuments in Greece ) could be made much nicer. Quite a lot of litter. Cordoned off so can't look around. Could do with more explanation notices.

Only having seen the Arsenal here on TripAdvisor do I understand what it was.
Unfortunately it’s fenced off, full of weeds and without signage that explains the site.

Easy enough to see as its just on the headland - all fenced off so you can only see from the footpath.

These are just by the beach near the start of the harbor. Very little information on a billboard near them.

We were walking past the Marina and came upon it.
Rather impressive but I wouldn't drive over here especially for it..

Unusual monument which was somewhat spoiled as someone had hung their washing up on the fence around it. Directly on the beach between Gouvia and the Marina
