Veitshochheim gardens is full of surprises and a fantastic Rocco garden. Every nook and corner is different, always making you want to guess what is next. Many statues and fountains are superb if you are around when they are turned on. Restaurant also first class.

Geometric walkways and fountains are characteristic for this rococo garden. But while you are strolling through you'll also find a lovely kitchen garden and orchards.

The gardens are beautifully kept, with raked paths and trimmed hedges. The blooming flowers near the palace were spectacular. I was amazed at the size of the fish in the pond! Hundreds of statues accompany you at every alcove. Worth a visit if you are...More

As a plantswoman and having a lack of enthusiasm for the baroque and rococo, I was not keen to visit these gardens, but i was overwhelmed. Around the palace, the formal borders were heavily planted with a wonderful selection of late summer annuals in a...More

Alright, if you are in Würzburg and pressed for time, this is not your top-of-the-list destination, but if not and you are (auto-)mobile and have good weather, by all means, do take the short excursion to Veitshöchheim--or if you travel more leisurely, you can also...More
