We had reached the Dwarkadhish Temple before 5:00 in the evening and the doors were scheduled to open only at 5:00. We had a lot of time to take a leisurely walk on the banks. Its quite well-kept. The beautification work is in progress. The water itself is very clean, despite the fact that a lot of devotees take holi dip before the darshan there.

This Gomati river is different from the Gomati river that is in UP on which banks Lucknow is situated. This Gomati is a tidal river and at an interval of 6 hours the water starts coming into it from the sea and then begins to drain out into the sea. When we first saw it in the morning after Dwarkadhish darshan, it was almost dry and water was flowing in a thin drain in the middle. But in the afternoon it was full with six to seven feet deep water and waves from the Arabian sea were entering the river at regular interval. Boats were taking people from one side to another. This magic can be seen only if you stay here for 12 hours at least. Near the Dwarkadhish Temple the ghat is named as "Chhappan Sidhi" ghat. Here a small temple of Goddess Gomati is situated. The mouth of river at sea is about half km from this ghat. All along upto the mouth different ghats are made. Since it is a sacred river and taking a dip in it is good from religious point of view, the ghats see a large number of pilgrims most of whom from the rural areas. Many locals sell fish and cow feeds. Feeding fish during high tide is very entertaining.
Near the mouth of river there is a "Suryanarayan temple". It is quite a nice place to watch the river and Arabian sea meeting. I saw a sea turtle about two feet wide entering the river from sea. Along the sea water many sea weeds also enter the river. Some of which is rare and sold by locals. Locals also sell many types of stones, 'Shankh', "Kaudi", shells and "Gomati Chakras". "Gomati Chakras" are only found in this Gomati river. It is kept by religious people in their place of worship and thought to be bringing wealth. The Gomati ghat has many small temples of different Gods and many small shops selling different items are situated all along it.
It is a place worth visiting.

it is believed that if you enter the dwarakadeesh temple from the front entrance and leave the temple from the back entrance then you will get moksha !!! so when you enter through the front entrance you come across gomti river where the water comes from the arabian sea based on the moon timings.we went on 20/12/2013 at 8.30 pm there was no water and time calculated for the water to tide over was 12 am since we were tired travelling long distance we did not venture out again to see gomti river. moreover as the temple was about to close by 9 pm we went back to the temple to get a quick darshan of lord krishna as the crowd had already dispersed

As dirty as rest of Dwarka, wish the ghat was remodelled ala Ujjain or Somnath. Nature's bounty spoilt by human apathy. Right behind Dwarkadish temple, we need to walk through commercial din and dirt to reach the ghat. Sudama Sethu built across river Gomati was shut for maintenance while we visited the ghat on 9 Sep 2023.

This ghat is created beside flow of gomti river. The river is clean and one can view it from approach road to Dwarkadish Temple itself.

I would like to add here that this is one of the dirtiest place i saw. There are many slippery sections added by cow dung everywhere, plastic and other garbages.
We somehow just went near river and put some water on our heads and returned back. The area needs to be maintained properly and cleanliness should have been initiated.

When we arrived there, it was a time of low tide and water was stinking, not clean also.

Place has religious values as it is suggested that you should have bath here but we could not dare to.

Gomti chakra which is kind of sea shell is only available here and is belived to have many values and is also used for worship of goddess Laxmi.

I like this place very much. People cross it with boat. They ignite lamps of soil. You can go near sea from here. Here , after every 6 hours, water goes up and down. Even you feel nice when you see sunset from sea .

Gomati Ghat is the Gomati river bank that is must to be visited before one visits Dwarka temple.
We went for evening darshan, and first we visited Gomati Ghat. It was nice. We fed some food to fishes, then went on the small bridge to see other temple. There are 7 wells with different taste in water. We could not see/taste them as it was getting dark at that time.
