its just a stupa,its ok to c, avoid, if u do not want to walk, hardly any thing to see . they do not allow car to go up.

This is one of the famous holy place to visit in Gangtok. This Monastery is walking distance from MG road.

Phensong Monastery is a spiritually enriching location near Gangtok and is a must-visit monastery. I enjoyed my time here and the stupas were nice.

The prayer wheels and the stupa are a must see. Very peaceful surroundings. The monastery is beautiful

The Monastery is located in the vicinity of Gangtok and is good for a local trip around Gangtok. One can view the place where Diyas are lit and kept lighted all the time.

Do not go during Sept to Dec if you want to see snow. Rest it is a beautiful and peaceful place. Cool breeze and a yak ride makes for it.

we had a great visit to this place. yu have to take a detour of arounf 1km up on the mountain. we visited this place when going to north sikkim. as we went up there were around hundred monks having tea sittting on the floor....More

Oldest monastery of Gangtok,Phensong monastery is always crowded with pilgrims.There are over 300 monks in the monastery and is one of the most visited religious place in the state.The monastery is surrounded with amidst beautiful hills and pristine natural scenic views.
