this Gumpa was built on the lines of the pagoda design by Chogyal Sidkeong Tulku, the maharaja of Sikkim. The monastery is the guardian protector of Gangtok and Sikkim at large. thus a visit here for blessings is a must..

The environment is serene and quiet. Perfect ambience for relaxation and meditation. The prayers by the monks can be heard from far and the location of the monastery is atop a hill which also makes it a perfect view point with heart stopping view.
