Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The church is in well-maintained condition, and it is in French Town. It is almost 300-year-old church, and it looks very nice. It is very big in size, and additionally, there is a huge sitting capacity. We really liked the place and its architecture.

This cathedral can be seen as you walk down the beach, and then you can walk around too the entrance. As you walk in, the history of the place can be seen on the left hand wall, and the architect is on the wall to your right as you look backwards toward the door. The church has the stations of the cross around the outside and two smaller alters right and left of the main alter. It's kept very clean and well maintained around the outside. This is worth a quick walkthrough and a read of the history of the 3 different cathedrals that have been on this location.

I was interested in seeing architecture of this church. It is beautiful indeed and usage of colors inside and outside makes it lot more attractive. It is a one time visit for sure if someone just want to pay a visit as it is close to promenade.

We enjoyed the church on our first evening after having a walk on the promenade. The church has beautiful interior and exterior and is well worth a visit.Just want to mention that you can review this attraction twice on TripAdvisor, which might be a little confusing.

This is a pretty church ( the modern one) , especially the inside which is clean, well maintained and looks like it was designed by Wedgewood ! The white and blue painting is very nice! The original church is a small building that sits across the road. There is a small Capuchin cemetery opposite it, that you can visit!

We watched the sun rise on the promenade and then went to the church. We were in a peaceful state of mind and the church added to the feeling. Beautiful architecture and the interiors were very beautiful. It was quiet and calm.

The church is a must see especially since it has been completely renovated now....This is the only church that serves french mass in pondy apart from the english and tamil mass...It is situated a street parallel to Goubert Avenue (beach front) and the church has a lovely view of the beach ...
