Had we not stopped talking to the old guy in the i-site, he would have told us many more stories: really nice. He even recommended the best fish'n chip in Waihi Beach.Thank you!

This is the best iSite I've been to. There is heaps of information and really cool displays to look at. Great for kids.

Friendly staff made our visit very worthwhile. Lots of information about the area in leaflets, flyers and maps. Staff were super friendly and made us feel very welcome, answering our questions with a lots of knowledgeable answers. Gifts are for sale too, a real bonus.

I took my granddaughters along to see this when it first opened. They were 3 & 4 years old. They had a good time here, and I think they'd do even better now a couple of years later. Great history and insight into the mine...More

Had an hour to kill in waihi, so went to the mine experience. Really good, kept the 6 &8 yr Olds entertained for a good hr, probably a little expensive I think $50 for a family more appropriate

We went here to get our hut passes for a hike but stuck a little bit here with all those interesting information about he mines. A pity that it cost so much to do the tour, so we haven't done it. Great basic stuff though...More

This is a well made & informative display which you could view whilst waiting for the mine tour bus or before or after doing the gold mine display situated within the complex - recommended
