Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We visited the multiple mausoleums, which itself was stunning. The highlight of the tour was the 2 Buddhas, which were a site to see, also because of the size. The Gardens had multiple figurines, all of were decorated in colourful colours.
Worth a visit if one is in the area.

If there are 1-2 hours to spare on a trip to Kampong Cham, Phnom Srey and Phnom Pros is nice peaceful place to visit. It is a quiet mysterious place of pagodas with mischievous cute monkeys. Feeding the monkeys with bananas would make you the most popular tourist in this sacred place. The place is nice for an hour exploration - besides monkeys there is a huge golden sleeping buddha, a four-face buddha surrounded by little golden figurines and many nice quaint pagodas. It is indeed a quiet gem hidden in Kampong Cham that is worth visiting.

A huge complex of beautiful temples very quiet of visitors. Not good disabled access up to the temples but generally flat all around. From the first set of temples, continue round and down for some amazing, giant, golden Buddhas. Beware of the wild monkeys as they can steal your drinks, phones and wallets. However, give the lady at the refreshment stall 50 cents and she will throw them some bananas for a great display. No functional toilets.

We visited the temples part of Viking cruise. The Phom Srey temple itself is not particularly spectacular, but worth visiting. It is the surrounding grounds, golden Budha statues, smaller temples that are spectacular. The area is alive with local pilgrims and temple priests offering blessings.

The hills of Phnom Srey and Phnom Pros ( Woman and Man Hill) are not one of the world's greatest mountains, but in the pancake-flat landscape of Kampong Cham, they offer a decent view. Both have pagodas built on top of them, with the buildings on Phnom Pro being more ostentatious.

Phnom Pro is home to a large troop of banana-crazed macaques. We unleashed our inner child and had a great amount of fun feeding the hungry beasts. They are not yet too aggressive but you do need to keep alert.

In between the two hills is an area used as a killing field by Khmer Rouge soldiers. Many thousands of people were massacred here and there are still mounds of earth which contain human remains. Some skulls have been placed inside a grim shrine with a guardian on watch. You might want to be aware before bringing children here.

Phnom Srey is accessed by a steep staircase on the other side of the former killing field. The staircase up is steep but should be manageable by anyone in fair condition health-wise. The buildings on top are of no great architectural merit, but the place does have an atmosphere of spirituality.

Phnom Proh features a very attractive and tall pagoda with fantastic architectural detail. There are monkeys in the parking lot; you can buy bananas from the vendors to feed them. You can easily drive up to the temple grounds.
Srey requires a 220 step climb (we counted) to see....not much. The temple at the top is very simple and not much to look at. The view is blocked by trees for the most part. Perhaps if you bring a couple of cold NON-alcoholic beverages (it is a temple afterall) to enjoy at the top while enjoying a breeze, then perhaps it'll be worth the climb. Otherwise, you can skip this one.
BONUS: Check out the grounds between Srey and Proh, at the back. Very cool sculptures of Buddha and Ganesha and other characters. Even a reclining Buddha! Lots of swing benches and hammocks to relax on with a cold drink from one of the vendors here.

Set in Twin Holy Mountains this temple is basically Man Hill and Woman Hill . It has two crumbling pagodas at the top then walking down some ornate stairs you will come to further building and statues. Very strange mixed up selection. There are some really large recently constructed statues including a reclining Buddha. Nice walk around especially as there are monkeys everywhere just as curious about us. Lots of locals here and some looking for donations. This area is also known for its killing fields, one of 380 in Cambodia during Pol Pots violent reign and one of the pagodas in the bottom garden is a monument to remember those killed so violently. Inside this building is a distressing circular dish containing several hundred skulls found in the fields next door to the temple. These fields are mercifully fenced off now but apparently not cleared of the many graves. It is not marked as such so be careful not to wander into the doorway unprepared.

Phnom Pros has quite a long entrance, and the complex is quite large. We drove to the base of Phnom Srey and decided it was too hot at 2:30 to climb the many steps. At Phnom Pros there are quite a few monkeys to entertain you; don’t try to pet them, however. They are accustomed to being around humans, but they are not tame. There is a library below the main pagoda, and staff were very welcoming.

A beautiful historicla pagoda away from the city. But there is not much thing to see comparing to the big temple in Siem reap
If you have time in Kampong Cham, you can try it.

The last stopped on our Mekong River cruise was at the town of Kampong Cham. One of the attractions to see at Kampong Cham, are the mountains Phnom Pros & Phnom Srei. Our group visited Phnom Pros, where we enjoyed its beautiful gardens and peacefulness and looked around the pagodas. Also there to greet you are the free roaming monkeys.

Nice photo ops here with lots of colorful statues & intricate rock work.
