First of all I would like to say that this place should only be visited by Filipinos, or people that can travel here with their filipino friends. I was researching beautiful waterfalls in the Philippines, and I came across Tinago. Iligan City is located on Mindanao Island, which is known for kidnapping tourists. I didn't do my research beforehand, so... More

I was greatly stunned the moment I see the beautiful view of the falls in Tinago, it is really a Hidden falls that you need to take the 365 steps just to reach and see the beautiful waterfall attraction in Iligan City. You could also get the chance to get near and get under the waterfall by sailing with the... More

A real nice place for it's natural beauty but lot's of stairs to climb. 430 steps down to the base of the falls. It is the coming back up which can be a challenge. Not for the elderly for sure. I took lot's of rest stops on the way up and I am senior but u still need to be... More

Wow stunning, so nice! Dont think that anything in the philippines is free. Its funny though. Saying that tinago falls is free. I guess what they mean that its free to breath. Thats basically the only thing free. It starts with - parking your car. Really have no idea why to pay for that but anyway. - then 2 people... More

It's must try in Iligan City. The water is clear and cold. Make sure you'll try the bamboo rafting. Do a big leap in the water and be prepared for the 400+ going to and from the falls.

I've been here 6 times already, I just can't have enough of it. I love the scenery, the cold fresh water, the bamboo water rafting and most specially that the area is Tinago (hidden) - you won't be getting sunburns even if you spent the wholeday swimming in there. Best camera to bring is an action cam, we tried bringing... More

Thanks to my friend Naj Alejo for making our Mindanao trip even more fun when she volunteered to tour us around Iligan (or Lanao Del Norte). Since we came from our trip to Davao city, we took the bus at the terminal going to Cagayan de Oro (7-8hrs) and took another bus going to Iligan. From the bus terminal, we... More
