instead of booking through any providers it's just easy to grab a cab in the morning and just pay the $89 per person at the gate. They also have other packages that include snuba, dolphin, sting ray and manatee encounters but we just did the basic entry. There are free lockers and towels and lots of signage and maps to... This place rocked! Only spent half a day but could have spent three full days at this location. Snorkelling with the schools of colourful fish was the highlight. The free food and drink was nice too. Absolutely worth the money and definitely the best tour taken while in that neck of the woods!

I was first at Xel-Ha in 1994, shortly after it opened to the public. It has since blossomed into an all-inclusive day-trip, meaning almost all activities and food and drinks are included in the admission price. It's a LOT more crowded now than it was back then, but the mix of freshwater from the river and springs and saltwater from... More

The one thing we wish we realized is that there are lockers etc at multiple "colour" stations throughout the park. Don't stop at the first one as it is farthest from amenities, but pick one strategically for the day. Also, check online two weeks before trip for discounts, we were able to get 6 ppl for 50% off each, really... More

We visited xel-ha as an excursion with a tour company (called traffic tours) from the lobby of our gran serenis hotel (we didnt book through our rep as prices differ considerably). The coach service was really good; good drop off and pick up times and v organised. You can do extras at xel-ha (dolphin swim, ray experience, scuba-type walk under... More

Pre booked our trip to Xel ha based on a friend's recommendation and we were glad we did. Pre booking ties you to a specific day but saves around 15% on the admission price which is worth it. Took the local Collectivo bus to the attraction and then had a brief walk up to it. We booked the photography package... More

So here we are, first timers to Mexico traveling with 3 kids between 12-18 and we knew that we were not going to make it stuck on a resort for a week, right? We took a long time looking between Xcarat, Xplor and Xel-Ha and I think we made the right choice! We arrived later than we wanted (don't do... More

My only complaint is we didn't show up when it opened for the day! This park is huge - I went with a group of friends and only saw 1/3 of what there was to offer. Make sure to get there before 12 pm or you'll really feel like you've missed out (we arrived at 10:30 am). The food is... More

This is $89 USD per person to get in. It is ALL-INCLUSIVE. You do get food and drinks, all you want. The buffet was average but I didn't care. Good enough plus I was not there to eat. I didn't try any of the other food places. They looked better. The water was so amazing. The zip lines were great.... More

We really enjoyed our day here. We floated down the river, did zip lining, cliff jump and snorkeling. There is so much to do here that you can't do it all in one day. We definitely plan on coming back. The food is just average though.
