Rojomoma
About
Rojomoma is a family run micro winery and 5ha vineyard in the Barossa Valley. Sam and Bernie, together with our young son Raj, hand craft our wine every step of the way, from grape growing, making wine and designing labels. Our vines, aged up to 132 years old, grow intensely delicious grapes, perfect for full flavoured red wines of integrity. We have 3 brands; Raj’s Pick, Red Art and Wild Scarlet. Sam has been making wine for over 30 years, and his family history in grape growing and winemaking has continued with every generation since the 1840’s. Bernie has been in the Barossa and working with wine for over 20 years. Our private wine tastings are available by appointment only. Book in to experience the unique personality of our single vineyard wines either with a private tasting or one of our greater wine experiences including vineyard tour, in-depth winery experience and lunch platter.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I visited in March 2022 as part of a small group. Quite by chance I had found the winery on Tripadvisor and was really drawn by some of the reviews and their quirkiness, so different to some of the larger wineries in the area.

After the visit I found myself in two camps, both wanting to sing their praises, and fearful that if I did so I might lose a gem to their success as more people found out just how good, different and exciting they are.

What is a very unassuming shed, reveals so much on the inside. Sam was a lovely host, revealing the stories of the grapes and the varieties they sell. While at first we may have been apprehensive, everyone left with more than they expected they would and I'm sure will continue to shop with them over the years.

If you want something different, something that isn't the standard run of the mill experience you get in the Barossa Valley, or many of the other regions around Adelaide, then I would highly recommend giving this place a visit.

This was our first stop during our three day stay in the Barossa and my wife and I had an excellent experience.

The owner gave us a detailed wine tasting concerning quite a few nice reds and we ended up purchasing a few.

The atmosphere itself was brilliant and I must also note the owners spotify playlist!.

Great flavours that were classic Barossa, with plum and blackberry and good oak characteristics

Took our visitors from interstate for a private tasting and platters. Everyone enjoyed the experience of great wine and food. Sam and Bernie also provided a very informative little tour of the vineyard and the winery. Parts of this vineyard are very old with historic 130 year old bush vine grenache grapes. If you like excellent red wines made by a dedicated family operation, then you need to make an appointment and sample these wonderful wines. They are available over the net if you miss out on a visit. Cheers

It’s not often you get to visit a single vineyard, boutique, Barossa winery, sit in the air conditioned shed where the magic happens, sample a range of brilliant red wines and hear the wine makers passionately describe the varieties and vintages your sampling, with mood music in the background and local produce platters to nibble on. A great way to spend a few hours relaxing with friends!

Rojomoma Winery is situated on a 12 acre vineyard in the Barrossa Valley.
The wines are labelled as"Red Art" and are based upon the red grapes that predominate within this small operation.
Sam and Bernie are expert wine makers and their products reflect this in every wine that we tasted (8 on the day).
They have been highly successful in competitions with many medals that are well deserved.
The wines are to be highly recommended and the experience of an exclusive tasting is one to be sought by those people who really enjoy good wine.

Sam and Bernie accommodated our group of four (by appointment through Hand Picked Wine Tours) on December 29, 2018 on short notice. Their 12 acre boutique winery produces superb wines focused on Shiraz. We sampled eight different products and immediately bought three to smuggle back onto the ship. Very friendly young couple putting a huge effort into their small business. We wish them every success.
