    Great experience
I visited the farm when I was younger with my family, my husband and I planned to visit the Gold Coast and I said we have to go to the Tropical Fruit World! I’m so glad we did, loved the tour and fruit tasting. The tour guides are so informative and it was such a wonderful day out. Looking forward to visiting when we start our own family.

    Tour review
Staff had great knowledge of produce and history of the farm, the farm tour was above expectations, the fruit tasting was delicious, the boat cruise was a hit with the family. The whole farm is a lot bigger than we expected, stopping along the way to taste more fruit and macadamia nut cracking was a treat. Yum.
Great stuff thankyou for sharing your experience with us! we love to hear about your day at Tropical Fruit World :)

Tropical Fruit World is definitely underrated!
My family and I visited Tropical Fruit World on Father’s Day. We had an awesome experience! The only thing I’d like to suggest is more time at each ‘station’. We felt as though we were rushed through the fruit tasting and animal feeding and would’ve like a bit more time.
Thankyou so much for your feedback, it helps us improve our business and ensure we are meeting our guest's expectations. Our tours run on a tight schedule however we aim to make you feel welcome in each space. Thankyou again for sharing

    Absolutely AMAZING
This was easily one of the most memorable and amazing experiences I’ve ever had with my family. My entire family of 11 came, it was extremely affordable, with so many different elements. We also can’t thank the staff enough, they were so lovely - but by far the best was Jaime our tour guide. A genuine soul he is! We had such an amazing time, it’s for all ages, my eldest brother is 28 and youngest sister 15. My parents being middle aged loved it too, there was something for everyone to enjoy, we will definitely be back. If you are in Queensland you must go!
Oh what a great family day out! Thank you for sharing your day with us :) I will pass on your compliments to Jamie he will be thrilled

    Topical Fruit World day trip
I had some overseas visitors and we booked the full tour of Tropical Fruit World. We had the 11:20am tour and decided to head there for breakfast first, and I am glad we did, as our meals were delicious, quick and the staff were very friendly. Barry led us on our tour and he was both humorous and very knowledgeable with the fruit tasting also both delicious and informative. We had a great day, thank you.
Thankyou so much for your kind review we are please to hear that your dining experience and tour went so well! We hope to see you again soon :)

An excellent experience with a group of very happy children
I took my son and a big group of his friends on the full tour and they absolutely loved it. The team that ran the tour really looked after the boys and made sure they had the best experience. They ensured we had plenty of fruit to try, endless food supplies to feed the animals and got the boys involved in all the activities. We all had a great time, thank you :)

Great tour ! Really good for kids ! The tour was so organised that it’s really good for young children .

There was fruit tasting which our kids love it to try different fruits . ( usually they don’t like fruits ) .. then there we got on a tractor to have a tour of the orchard ... there was banana tasting and the kids can open the macadamia nut there and eat it too !

We got to learn about native plants ! Thanks Andrew for his amazing talk !

After that we continued the tour and we went on a cruise that the kids can feed the duck with sunflower seeds.

After thAt they took us to the farm where kids can feed the sheep, goats , kangaroo , cow etc

Then the tractor comes pick us up back to the entrance where there was a nice cafe and gift shop

The food in the cafe was so amazing ! It was really over my expectation !
Try the ice cream and the avocados in 5 ways , also the myrtle leave fish

We highly recommend this place for family !

This is the 3rd time I visit the farm in 15 years, but now I will not going back again, I paid $176 for 3 adults and a child under 17.
Tour inside the farm is okay, but nothing special, if you’d like to buy tropical fruit there are very few on display in the shop. They are not fresh at all and very pricey, while their fruit can be seen in abundance falling off the trees on the dirt to rot rather than being sold at a reasonable price. Their fruit ends up being thrown out due to many fruits not being bought and too much fruit at the farm to possibly sell. Normal fruits and avocados are much cheaper at your local supermarket. The tour was fine but way overpriced.

Hi Nick, Thank you for visiting us and leaving us your honest review. We are sorry to hear about your recent experience with us. We grow over 500 different varieties of tropical and exotic fruit here and summer usually brings an abundance of fresh goodies. During December and January we have some of our busiest periods of the year and endeavour to inspire each one of our customers with nature. We have an incredible, dedicated farm team which work Monday to Friday to bring us the freshest fruit they can find daily. Another important part about our farm is that we strive to be as sustainable as possible, using fruit which may not look to best in our production room. In this spectacular room we dehydrate fruit, leaves, make some of our delicious Tropical Passion range, bottle our Tropicology, bag our chocolate macadamia nuts and label all of our products. A large majority of our fruit needs to be hand picked to activate the ripening stage, however lack of pollination may be the result of some fruit dropping as well as inadequate irrigation water to the area. We are actively looking into this and we appreciate your understanding. I have passed this message onto our Operational Manager and we have had a discussion with our Farm team and Manager to best appropriately handle this situation. Again, we really appreciate your honest review and have taken on your comments thoughtfully.

We are local to the area and have been coming here many times over the years. This review is for their ‘Cafe’ with x3 Adults. Arrived after 1pm with a closing time for lunch at 3pm. Ordering is done at the front counter. The Cafe is in a beautiful setting with views of vegetation from the large windows. Plenty of Tables to choose from. Unfortunately for us at least x6 of these tables had dirty dishes left on them. There weren’t many patrons seated and it looked like there was adequate staff to clear the tables. New customers were coming in including us. Disappointing, as it took at least 15mins before someone came to clear some tables. Looked terrible for the tourists visiting the gift shop as it opens to the Cafe. Service at Front counter was Pleasant and friendly. We had Karaage Chicken burger/Jakfruit Nachos/Bobs bowl.
1-Burger had 4nugget sized chicken pieces with abit of coleslaw/lettuce but tasty dressing.
2-Nachos came with a great serving and well presented with good flavours
3- Bobs bowl was full of fresh tasting salad, fritter didn’t hold its shape and fell apart. Seasoning was fresh and wholesome…..

Thank you for your continuous support over the years we are extremely grateful! We appreciate you bringing this to our attention, and I am sorry that you and your friends had to experience an unclean café. I will inform our café staff so they can ensure that we provided each guest with an excellent and memorable experience. I am glad to hear that everyone was pleased with their food, and I hope this one unpleasant experience does not affect the good experiences you have had with us over the years. We hope you will visit us again at Tropical Fruit World in the Future!

Good way to spend a few hours. My son (aged 7) and I went when it was raining but that didn’t matter as you are mainly undercover on the tractor and boat. First, we were had fruit tasting, we tried fruits that we didn’t know existed (30mins), and then took at ride on the tractor around the gardens. So many trees to see with fruit on all clearly labelled. Lots of new things.... We stopped to crack macadamias and eat a banana, and then carried onto the petting farm. Spent approx. 15mins there and then went around the waterways to an island. It's set up for children with a flying fox and mini playground, whilst the adults learnt about bush tucker leaves etc. All up it was around 2.5 hrs. Worth doing but maybe a little expensive.....

On the way back we picked up cheap veg and fruits from local farmers.

As locals, we thought we would have breakfast at the Cafe at Tropical Fruit World. The breakfast menu, to 11.30am was limited, however, the cost was not. I ordered eggs on sourdough with a side of bacon for $17. My partner ordered the roast vegetable salad for $12. The presentation of these 2 dishes was very underwhelming. The salad was served in a bowl, making it difficult to eat. My 2 poached eggs rolled around the plate accompanied by 2 pieces of sourdough toast, no butter and a rasher of bacon. The eggs had been dusted with pepper, whether I wanted it or not.
The Cafe itself could do with an update feeling more like a cafeteria than Cafe. Very clangy with no noise softening, making it difficult to hear, even with only a few other guests.
It is wonderful to see a business support young people with employment, but it is then essential that they are managed and trained in customer service.
Finally, the walk through the gift shop - it was hard to keep a straight face seeing the extremely inflated prices of their products.
This was a very disappointing visit, acknowledging that the farm itself has a great reputation and looks beautiful. At $50 per adult, we did not go any further.

Good afternoon Rozi, Thank you for your visit and honest review. We are however disappointed to hear about your recent experience with us. Firstly, we would like to apologise and welcome you back to try another Eggs on toast with bacon, on us! Going out to breakfast should be an exciting way to start your day, and we want to rectify this for you. Christmas and New Years is one of our busiest times of the year, and we love our park being alive with laughter and people enjoying themselves. We have beautiful more quiet and private settings outdoors which you are most welcome to take advantage of, perhaps this would be more suitable for you? Rozi, I noticed you said you live locally? Did you know we offer half price admission for our all of locals? We would absolutely love to have you back for a chat and coffee anytime! Please head online to see your exclusive offers, or alternatively give us a call to discuss. All of our customers reviews are very important to us, please note this has been forward to the correct areas and we look forward to implementing some changes to our offering. Please contact me at info@tropicalfruitworld.com.au to arrange your FOC breakfast, thank you again Rozi.

We have often stopped at the cafe and shop and thought the TFW tour would be a great place to take the grandchildren (2x9 and a 6 year old, all boys). Booking was really simple and we received the 'locals' discount. The visit was great! Started with the fruit tasting, then informative tractor ride, down the hill to macadamia cracking with a bonus 2m python ( a highlight!), back on tractor to dam, fed the animals, jumped on the boat for a trip around the dam, played at the park, examined the bush tucker display where the G. children painted themselves with ochre!! Back on the tractor and lunch - very reasonably priced at the cafe. (Optional to the tour.) Kids loved it and all want to return. "Is like Jurassic World" said one and he was correct.
All staff were helpful and informative. Keen to share their knowledge. Cafe was busy but food arrived fast and was excellent. Will certainly return.

Our tour guide was Barry we did quite a good job. We passed lots of various fruit trees during our tractor tour. It would have been nice to stop at a few of these trees, such as the avocado and dragon fruit plants to actually see and touch the fruit on the tree and see how it actually grows. We stopped and saw bananas but would have been nice to get up and close to see the growing process. We got the shell macadamia nuts, which was nice, but didn’t get the see how the grow. I did think the animal petting area was nice but charging families a $1.00 per bag for feed is price gouging considering the large cost of the tour. I was looking forward to the fruit tasting, however this was rushed and was disappointed in the fruit variety on offer, I understand it is seasonable but maybe add in some dried fruit.
Overall a good tour but room for improvement

Good afternoon, We would like to thank you for your recent visit to Tropical Fruit World and follow up 4 star review. We are pleased you have taken the time to leave us your thoughts, we take the reviews from our customers into consideration and look to implement some different ideas into part of our tour activities. Sounds like you may have preferred one of our private tours which dives a bit deeper into growing different exotic and tropical fruits. We have experienced horticulturists which work on our farm daily. They sometimes host private walking tours for this exact reason, please keep up to date with our website for our next event! As for our Fruit Tasting Show, we try and provide the best seasonal produce here which is usually a half an hour full of information and delicious fruit. I will definitely pass on the suggestion to incorporate our dried fruit into our Fruit Tasting Show. Again, many thanks for your recommendations!

Tropical Fruit World, what a lovely surprise adventure. We didnt know what to expect, we recently went with our 3 year old and another family with two kids of similar ages. We found the tour very informative, fun and interesting. We started off with a fruit tasting of over 10 different fruits, all with a good story/background. We then went on the tractor throughout the acres and saw hundreds of different fruit varieties - some we had never seen or heard of before. We made a little stop near the bananas, and were able to try some, we also had a heap of macadamias from the macadamia trees.

We then continued on, and ended up at a cute spot to feed lots of animals. Sheep, goats, chickens, Donkeys etc... the animals were very friendly. We then went onto a boat through the water, down to the island. The island had a bunch of activities/games/sports for the kids, and there was an amazing indigenous display with some great background information on some indigenous plants, and some of which you could take a cutting of and grow at home. After this the tour was over and we could have lunch at the cafe and buy some fruit at the fruit market. The coffee was really good!

Overall this is a great family outing and great value for money. It takes 2-3 hours all up, but is quite relaxing. Lots of shade too. Plenty of toilets around, which makes things easier with the kids. Highly recommend!

We thoroughly enjoyed Tropical Fruit World and thought it was value for money. Initially I was put off by the cost but took a chance and was not disappointed. The food on offer was different to anything I'd ever tried before and the servings were generous for the size of the crowd we had. The hosts were knowledgeable too. The tour lasted roughly 2 and a half hours. I would highly recommend it to anyone thinking of going.

Received a flyer from the Kingscliff information centre and decided we’d drop in on our travels we arrived at 12:30 to be told all Tours are over and done with and to try again tomorrow. Which wasn’t too much of an issue as we are staying local so we could come back, but that information didn’t stand out on the brochure we received. then we saw the entry fee of $50pp for a tour and that made the decision for us that we wouldn’t be back. So yeh disappointed

Hi Matt, Thank you for taking the time to leave us your honest review, however we are sorry to hear your experience with us was less than 5 stars. Since COVID-19 we have dramatically changed our tour structure so we align with the NSW government regulations. This is why we have moved our bookings online :) As we no longer have Inbound tourism we have also modified our product to suit the current climate in the off peak season, so our tours are reflective of this. We would love to have you back one day if you would chose to experience the full beauty of our farm on a 2 1/2 hour guided tractor ride through our incredible 200 acre farm. Thank you again Matt, we hope you enjoy the rest of your stay in the Northern Rivers.
