    A great day out
This was a really good day out for a family with young kids. We took five kids under the age of five and they had a ball. I’m not so sure teenagers would have had a great time. When we were there some of the rides for the older clientele were not working. I would make sure you take lunch in there. The food is really average and expensive which is not good enough really.

If you don’t like building sites give it a miss!
If you have a number of theme parks under your belt and have seen penguins, dolphins, seals and other creatures associated with water you can give this park a miss… unless the owners commit to renovating the place properly and soon. At the moment the park looks like a cross between building site and… a dump. To get to rides including some very impressive new ones, or animal enclosures you have to navigate your way between no longer used, but still not removed old attraction, happily rusting away in Queensland sun, the most impressive one of them being the omnipresent but no longer functioning monorail. I am actually quite sad writing this review since I loved the Sea World when I visited it twice… in the late 80s. I really looked forward to visiting it on this particular family trip. I guess the management realised that the 1980s are over, and to demonstrate this they closed the monorail… but this is not enough even for people on a sentimental trip such as myself. It’s great to be able to see the animals (I loves the jellyfish display!!!) and this sets Sea World apart from other parks in Gold Coast, but they can be seen in other places in Australia and abroad. So please tidy up the park! I want to love it again! And yes the Leviathan ride was out of this world I highly recommend it… but it was not enough to make the whole visit worth while!

Come for the animals, not the rides
We loved the shows, the atmosphere and the animals. Feeding the rays was a huge highlight but we were relieved we happened to get there early because they ran out of food quickly (no one warned us this was a possibility). Sometimes the keeper talks were difficult to hear (the seals). The reason our day was enjoyable was because we mainly wanted to see all the animals and shows. Otherwise, we would have been really disappointed. The ride waiting lines were way too long, the virtual queues were nearly always full, and there was no warning of the Leviathan being closed for half the day. There should be a way to cap the number of people entering the park, especially by pre-booking the day you want visit the park and only having remaining tickets available to sell at the gate. It's unfair to come to the park and only get to go on one ride, when years ago I could go on many rides in the same amount of time. It's sad that the monorail is closed, especially when I was walking to and fro around the park several times to make it to all the shows I wanted to see. A more logical show roster would help with this e.g., creating a "show trail" for people who want to see all the shows so that they don't have to walk up and down the park multiple times. The food options were all very expensive and mainly fried foods. $5.50 for a bottle of water is crazy. Also, the Thunder Lake Stunt Show was so boring and just bad. The stunts were somewhat impressive, but there were only a handful of stunts for a 20+ minute show. I remember the amazing Jetboat Extreme show I saw as a teenager and couldn't wait for my partner to see something like that. I was sooooo disappointed. The Thunder Lake Stunt Show is cringey, has way too much talking, not a single funny joke, and wasn't worth staying at the park past 4pm for. Honestly, the only reason I rated it so high was because the animals were beautiful, the talks were educational, and the shows really showcased the animals. I loved seeing what they could do, and I guess I just really love animals.

Dolphin Experience brilliant, facilities subpar especially for prices involved
Several parts of the park were randomly shut for maintenance, no maintenance work observed. Paid exorbitant amount for family dolphin experience, which was amazing, dolphins and staff were great, enjoyed immensely. Were told to walk 200 metres to random showers inside a public toilet block (disgusting and completely open to everyone, see public toilets) to remove Park supplied wetsuits, family of 5 with young children. Better facilities found in prison. Threatened with additional charges for taking to long to return said wetsuits as trying to organize wet cold children and overpriced photographs before walking the 1k back to drop off at other end of the park.

    Great for kids
Sea world was our second fav theme park, the seagulls are bloody annoying haha, a few rides closed down, wait times weren’t too bad however we went weekday non school holidays. We ate at dockside it was good. Shame the big carousel wasn’t operating. We visited the polar bear 4 times and they were no where to be seen the kids were so keen to see a polar bear so that was a shame. Was stinky in some areas just from the animals I’m assuming. Lastly we got 1/2 price dolphin swims the kids were stoked

Great day out - even with a 2 yr old
Our first time visiting a theme park with our 2 yr old. We spent a solid 5 hrs here, and that didn't include any rides as he was still too little for Nickelodeon land. We went through the exhibitions, watched the shows and had lunch. The food wasn't great (cold and bland) but we didn't go for that! It was expensive ($200+) to enter but that covered most of the parks' activities. It was clear that despite his young age, he had an absolute ball. So if you are doubting if they will enjoy it or remember it - do it!

Big rides are always closed for maintenance
Like others, most of the big rides (two big rollercoasters) were broken down or requiring maintenance. Quite expensive. Good if you like marine animals or have small children, as the attractions for kids is quite good. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Probably not worth it if you're an adult going for the rides. Make sure you check their website for a list of rides under maintenance.

Very spendy, could be more to see!
Pretty neat place to take littlies to explore. I definitely think there could be more though, there’s hardly any fish, the signs everywhere are covered in sea turtles but there are none to look at anywhere, the poor polar bear looks like it’s got heat exhaustion. Not a lot of signage telling you about anything and the signs that are there are deteriorated. The rides are ok, though many were closed for maintenance. The highlight was the dolphin show and stingrays. My kids had a blast, but the cost of entrance and then lunch on top of that I don’t think matches the experience.

    SeaWorld last time
Very overpriced , came here several years ago the ski sand seal show were better, highlight for the day was dolphin show, and shark bay. Seemed tired and unclean, more seagulls and bin chickens than fish. Bring back the monorail !

    Great day out!
Fantastic day out with our boys. Being older teens, they were happy to go do the rides etc on their own and met up for the Seal show and the Dolphins show (which we loved, so we saw twice). We took a helicopter flight which we all loved. The food was good (expensive but I expected that). The refillable drink bottles were the best thing I bought and we really got value for our money with those! We managed to fill a full day there and felt it was definitely value for money. The boys rated the rides highly and the wait times were reasonable. Only 1 was closed for maintenance. The only downside was that there were way too many of those pull around carts that people put their children in. I was tripped, cut off and slowed down way too many times, and they take up so much room. They shouldn’t be allowed.

Went on sat 6 april24. We stayed two hours. Only one ride operating suitable for teenage boys the leviathan. Rest were little kids rides. This place has really gone down hill and is a waste of time , everything closed and is a ghost town from when I used to get excited to go in the 80,s. Can’t even go on the monorail anymore even though track still there.

We bought the three day pass which gives you access to Sea World, Wet n Wild and Movie World over 5 consecutive days. We then planned our days around the weather to land Wet n Wild on the hotter of the three days. The pass is well worth it, you save a significant amount of money than if you were to only go to one of the worlds - $109 vs $179 for all three - its a no brainer.

We are a family of 4 with kids ages 9 & 11. We visited Sea World on Good Friday - so was a public holiday. Having done a lot of research we knew to arrive early and lucky we did. We got there around 9.30am before opening and there was already a reasonably long line - however once gates opened people went through very fast. We knew to go straight to the New Atlantis area to line up for the Leviathan ride - which wasnt opening till 10.30. We then decided to purchase the Fast Track - which you can buy online before or on the day of - just make sure you have the Village App downloaded. Fast track is $99 per person and it gets you on 5 rides - you can only use it once per ride. That suited us great because we didnt have to line up. So if you do have the money highly recommend using it. Tip on the fast track is dont use it if the line is short - so you can use it again if you weant to ride another round. Seaworld is huge and there are so many activities and rides for the kids. Of the three worlds, our kids loved Seaworld the most, they said that it combined bits of Movie World and Wet n Wild into one - with the addition of sea creatures. Initially reluctant to watch the Dolphin Show, the Dolphins turned out to be their highlight (even though they missed the start). Be sure to get there early as it fills up fast with people. Lots of food and shade available and plenty of bathrooms - overall a fantastic day out - even with the holiday crowd.

We visited Sea World with our 3 year old and had lots of fun. He loves animals and loved seeing all the enclosures and shows that Sea World has to offer. He especially loved the dolphin and seal shows. The Paw Patrol show was fun but it would have been nice for the little ones to have photo opportunities with them and a bit more context to the show. He enjoyed the rides in the Nikelodeon area too, so much that we had to come back another day.

The one thing that I would say is that there needs to be something done about the pigeons and seagulls in the food court area. It was so bad that anytime I turned to feed my young baby my food was getting eaten by birds.

All in all we had a wonderful time at Sea World.

Took the grand children for 3 nights and stayed Seaworld Resort. Wow never again, the shuttle that used to take you into the park & drop at various places has been shut since 2019 yet signs within the park saying "temporarily closed".
We had a 3 & 4 yr old and except for 2 rides & the Dolphin Show it is an absolute money waster. To top it off we had the 3 park pass that allowed us into Movie World as well. 3 rides open for little ones, when I inquired about the others, staff advised that out of holiday season they close attractions for maintenance, however they still charged us full tilt when we booked and paid online.

I would rate Seaworld and Movie World a 2 out of 5 at best, lots better places for people to go at a fraction of the cost as well.

Really enjoyable day out with two preschoolers. There was lots for them to do and see and they had a blast on the splash pad. The shows were great, went on a weekday outside of school holidays and it wasn't too busy. The favourites were jelly lab and dolphin show.

Without a doubt the worst accomodation I’ve ever had, room was 5 mtrs from a heavy construction site, great for a one year old to have his day nap , also got cryptosporiosis from the pool, had to call an ambulance and go to emergency, staff and management didn’t bother to check I was ok for a good 24 hrs after. We ended up getting other accommodation for the remaining days of our holiday, seriously if I could give this no stars I would.

Was such a lovely dayout and a beautiful experience with the dolphin show. We purchased tickets to meet the dolphins experience and our guide Sam was an absolute pleasure. He truly went above and beyond, made the visit that much more enjoyable. His passion delighted us and made our family’s experience so magnificent.
