Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I’ve had such a journey with Clinton and Cristy of Freediving Gold Coast, they have really been the foundation for my freediving that has ultimately let me dive the world safely and confidently.
Two years ago or so we started, and over a single weekend Clinton qualified me as an ocean freediver, had me achieve a breathhold over 2 minutes and took me down to 20m
Since then he has taken me to the AIDA 3 star qualification, guided me to hold my breath underwater for longer than 4 minutes and dive deeper than 30m.
Over the last 10 weeks I joined the HPC program and trained for a pool comp - this one a no fins event. In the competition, my first, I went 83m. Wow who would have thought this was even possible?
Massive thanks to Clinton and Cristy for opening this world to me and I’m looking forward to the next HPC term and bigger PBs.
Highly recommended though, whether you are a local or visitor and want to immerse in this sport/pastime.

I’m glad we have been part of this inner journey with you Damian. Your breath-hold time of 1.49 minutes while swimming underwater no fins for 83m was inspirational. A great example of what one can achieve when you combine physical and mental resources into a focused goal. Thank you.

After an injury and the desire for a lower impact activity, I stumbled across freediving and Freediving Gold Coast. I jumped straight in doing the AIDA 2 and 3 coure together where I learned alot from Clinton and Cristy about the human body in freediving, and the relaxing and beautiful experience of holding your breath underwater.
Now thanks to their friendly and intriguing introduction I'm constantly aspiring to push myself further and learn more about freediving and my own limits in this amazing sport. I've done a couple of High Performance Coaching terms with them and its a great combination of fitness, mental discpline/stength and the social side is amazing too with divers of all levels taking part in the growing community.
The added bonus is the mini competitons where I can challenge myself in a low stress competition environment and helps to motivate to develp my abilites further.
Thank guys, looking forward to many more great dives, training sessions and competitions in the future!

Thank you for the lovely review Matt. You have come a long way in your freediving path and development. You are almost an Assistant Instructor and achieving a Static breath hold of about 5.30 in your first competition was pretty impressive. Your freediving development has also been very rewarding for Cristy and myself. Thank you.

Have completed my AIDA2 and extra dive sessions with FDGC. Always professional and always come away feeling like I've been able to accomplish more as a freediver.
On the most recent trip we even had multiple whales and dolphins swimming around the boat that were sometimes close enough to see underwater.

I recently completed the AIDA 2 course with the team at freediving gold coast. Cristy and Clint were my instructors. The entire course was streamlined, with every detail efficiently organized. I felt extremely comfortable and excited to progress in the course. It was my first professional training experience in freediving. The focus n safety was high with everyone placing high priority on it.
With the coaching from Clint and Cristy, I was able to successfully pass the requirements as well as gain a new obsession with freediving.
I highly recommend freediving gold coast for complete beginners or recreational divers who want to develop technique and knowledge from experienced and well informed instructors.

I joined Freediving Gold Coast for some depth training and had a fantastic day. Everything was run smoothly and in a small group setting. Clint is a great instructor, willing to share his knowledge with all of us. Frank the skipper kept an eye out for whales and topped us up with tea and treats (and well needed hot water for the wetsuits). Cristy made the booking process fast and simple. Definitely keen to head out with these guys again!

This is an excellent introduction into the world of free-diving (AIDA 2). The course is well planned, presented by professionals practicing in the field and supported by quality teaching materials. The trainers are supportive and caring. Definitely recommend AIDA courses with Clinton and Cristy, and personally will be back for other activities with FDGC.

I did AIDA2 course with Cristy and Clint and had such a great time. Went with a few friends and learnt a lot! Never have done anything like this before so it was a really great experience and something I am glad I did because it helped me understand more about what my body is capable of. The professional trainers helped make this course fantastic.

I’m glad that I took the AIDA 1 pool certification with Freediving Goldcoast. Cristy was incredibly helpful and caring. I learned some vital safety information. Hopefully I have a chance to continue my training with Cristy and Clint.
