Considering it’s around $500 for a family of 4 I’d rate it as a satisfactory experience. Long wait times of between 30-75 mins. The majority of the time in cramped and confined conditions in stifling heat with little ventilation, or you wait in line for 45 mins only to be told the ride is now closed due for maintenance. In total we got 5 rides so is it value for money, probably not, would I recommend it, maybe but only to tick the box.

Day 1 of the 3 days at Warner Brothers theme parks..

The wife said "Lets do the Hyper coaster first and get it out the way". Once she got it she was doubting that statement and by the end of it she was feels very quezy and didn't do many more coasters that day. Our 8 year old afterwards said "That was terrifying" (the first time we've ever heard those words out of his mouth). The 89 degree drop is quite something as are the twists and loops (you spend at least 50% of the ride with your bum off the seat).

The main parade area is still the same as is the kids area, but the new Wizard of Oz area has opened. It's a little disappointing the "area" with not much in it. The two new rides are okay (one has a really long queue for a 30 second ride) and the other is a back and forth type coaster. We ended up waiting nearly 50 minutes (they closed the ride due to rain) before we got to go on it.

We didn't have much time to see any of the show this trip and the Superman Coaster broke down. It was a hot day and we drank a lot and any shade was welcome.

Enjoyed ourselves thoroughly..

We had a nice time at Movie World. We visited on a Monday at the end of August 2024. Unfortunately not all attractions were open which meant we did not spend an entire day at the Park - not enough to keep us interested. The Stunt show was entertaining and professional but could have benefited from some crowd warm up whilst we were waiting. The roller coasters that were operating were good but no immersion for customers who were waiting in line (unlike theme parks overseas). A real missed opportunity. Staff members were friendly and professional which was nice. If the park is going to be open (and at full price), then most attractions should be open, no matter the season. If you want to offer less attractions, then the price should reflect
Lunch was delicious though - at a reasonable price.

Hi Connaugh, Experiencing several closed rides can be disheartening for guests, affecting the overall enjoyment of your day. But Village Roadshow Theme Parks receive over 2 million visitors a year and attraction maintenance is an integral part of our business as it is for Theme parks worldwide also. Our annual scheduled maintenance is posted months in advance on our website, featured within our In Park Theme Park APP & displayed all day on our digital screens at each park entry so guests can make informed decisions prior to purchasing or when planning their visit. Customer satisfaction is of paramount importance to us, and it is only through guest feedback that we are given the opportunity to continually improve the service we provide. We're glad to hear that our friendly and hardworking staff helped provide a professional and fun atmosphere for you on your day of visit. Kind Regards, The Customer Experience Team.

While it’s always a good day out there were quite a few rides closed on the day we visited, scoby doo has been closed for 2 years. I find it interesting that in a tropical climate there aren’t fans or misting sprays in Main Street, ride queues or when watching the stunt cars. Other parks in different countries all have these so seems strange they’re not here in Australia. Still had an enjoyable day riding the rides that were available, get there early though and hurry to the most popular rides so you’re waiting less than 45 minutes

Hi There, It is disappointing to hear of your frustrations regarding the lack of shade available during your visit; it may be of some consolation to you that we closely monitor all feedback received from our visitors and as such your comments have been forwarded to management for review and consideration in planning for future improvements. Regrettably we can also confirm that the Scooby Doo Spooky Coaster has been closed since late January 2023. The current track had reached its end of life and is now getting a multimillion-dollar upgrade. This process will require some time, and as such, no new opening date regarding the Scooby Doo Spooky Coaster Next Generation has been announced. Our maintenance team is working hard alongside the manufacturers to ensure all refurb is carried out for a new spectacular Scooby Doo experience. We would like to sincerely thank you for taking the time to contact us, as it is through guest feedback such as yours, that we can continue to improve our efforts and would very much like to count on your continued support.

We visited as a family with 2 kids, 9 & 7yrs. It was a Tuesday just after the April school holidays. We arrived at about 10:20am and found a carpark near the entrance with no problem. We had packed a backpack with water bottles and a packed lunch/snacks. Our bag was not checked upon entry (I'm giving a bonis for this fact). We rented a locker for $12 by The Green Lantern and used this for the day so we could walk around with empty hands. We arrived just in time for the Tom & Jerry 4D show (screens every half hour) which was a great first activity. The Stunt Driver show was about to start when we came out so that was perfect timing. Everyone loved this! We thought we would ease in with some kids rides, we all loved the Road Runner coaster, shame it doesn't do two loops, we actually came back to do this again later in the day. We were disappointed to find there were only TWO thrill rides open, Batwing & The Green Lantern. Queues were pretty short all day but there really wasn't a lot to do. A bit underwhelming. We did get a great coffee at lunchtime which was a nice surprise.

Husband and I have been a few times but not for MANY years! Great to see some
New rides and attractions but the place felt smaller, especially without the studio tour. Definitely not as many characters wandering around for photo pics- didn’t see a single looney tunes character out at all, saw supergirl, Wonder Woman and Batman for the paid op only and the poor joker seemed to be out for hours with no one else? Loved the whole new wizard of oz section / rides and lead ups were great - saw glinda and Dorothy briefly in the morning , dc hyper coaster, green lantern and flash rides were great! Justice league 3d was below average (as was the batcave there before it) and a few rides closed - batwing, superman and Scooby- would’ve liked to see more going on in Wild West - such a great ride but that area was dead. 21 year old son had a blast with rides but 15 year old non ride son didn’t have much to do or be entertained with besides food - more shows not just aimed at the kiddies would be fab! Still a great day and staff were all super friendly - Just a lot to pay if your kid is not a ride jumper

Hi Belinda, Thank you for your review, Overall, it seems you had a lovely day out at Warner Brothers Movie World. We certainly understand from a guest's perspective that every guest plans their day differently around shows and our beloved attractions. We like to think of Movie World as a whole day out, where you can see a combination of daily Character Appearances, Entertainment Shows including our 4D Show at Roxy Theatre & be entertained by our Hollywood Stunt Driver Show. Along with our cherished Character Star Parade, which you’ll see through Main Street daily… All this entertainment accompanies our variety of children, family, and thrill attractions for guests to enjoy. We hope to see you back with us in the near future. 🎢️

we just got back from a week visit to gold coast and hit up Movie World in late Oct. Its not school holidays, and we went mid week hoping for less wait times on rides... but we were wrong.

We arrived early at 930 and queues were already starting (its popular). Park opened on time at 10 and we made a bee-line to DC-hypercoaster hoping to get the big rides out of the way early, only to find the ride still undergoing testing prior to opening.

Looking around we noticed superman, green lantern and flash all undergoing testing too (empty trains being sent). The rides didnt start letting people on until 1030am. By that stage there was already an hour wait at the hypercoaster. Tests should be done earlier - the park should be ready to go when it opens.

moving through to the hypercoaster waiting area, the cycle times between groups was really variable. Some times it would be 5min, other times was closer to 10min between rides going. The wait time was long!!! There has to be a faster way. The ride itself was awesome.

We experienced similar at the superman ride. Between 5-10min cycle times between groups going. We waited for 90min before our turn. What really peeved us was the fast track queue. There were large groups going through the fast track line and seemingly no-one checking their tickets. Again the ride itself was great.

The flash ride again had long cycle times for seemingly no reason. The ride itself ...is over in a flash. The queue for this one wasnt that long, but it just took forever to get people through the ride.

The wild west falls queue was just ridiculous. They even opened up the back staging area for this one.

The kids area was packed. Our kids are that in-between age (not very young but not teens yet) and there wasnt much for them. We enjoyed the green lantern ride the best. Pitty Justice league, scooby do and doomsday rides were all closed.

The stunt show was okay. The parade was average. The tom and jerry 4D show was a cool experience but the kids didnt really connect with the looney tunes brand (its just dated these days). The batman & joker show was total cringe - the voice overs and actors not even trying to adlib

Overall we spent the day there - did each ride once and had some fun...but it was just okay. Going to be a while before we come back.

Hi bdgameb, We're sorry to learn that your recent visit to Warner Bros. Movie World did not meet your expectations. All rides are tested prior to the park opening by the Maintenance team. However, the ride staff don't start and are in position between 9.30am - 9.45am in that time the Ride Supervisors conduct initial checks on the rides. Maintenance will sometime find issues that need to be rectified or the ops team can't complete opening checks this can cause a delay in opening. We understand extended ride queues are not ideal for our guests & naturally, the events you described were not what we would want our guests to experience. We are currently experiencing unprecedented crowd numbers. We do value you as our guest and we are extremely sorry that your expectations were not met by us on this occasion. Kind Regards, The Customer Experience Team.

Movie world is one of my all time favourite places but the lines can get super long, like im talking more than an hour. I know the fast pass is expencive but you can just purchase fast track passes for specific rides and I suggest you do that. If there is a ride that you really want to go on, line up for that ride as soon as you enter the park. The park overall is super clean and large. There is not a lot of shaded sitting areas though so I suggest going early or late to lunch if buying food.

Sooo many rides weren’t working! I got one ride all day, because the queues were huge with only a few rides working. Others in our group got 2 or 4 rides but that’s all, from 10-3.30, and had to wait in queues for an hour and more. No warning given when buying tickets and no discount. Disappointed! Also, we paid $50 for unlimited photos for the 2 roller coasters our group went on and when we got home only one roller coaster photo was on there, for $50!

Lots of rides, lots of good options for food and lots of photo opportunities with dressed up characters. Even on a weekday off peak felt lively.

Ride app with time waits very accurate which is great. A few rides in maintenance mode but expected at this time of year. Highlight was the stunt car show- incredibly talented drivers!

Highly recommend for families and theme park enthusiasts.
