We decided to try doing this walk from Kamari to Perissa, having done it the opposite way round from Perissa to Kamari some years ago. If you start from Kamari, you will begin the trek going up a road made up of numerous zig zag...More

I have visited Ancient Thera tree or four times, last time some weeks ago september -18, and every time I find something new and interesting things from past times. How those people, who lived there, can have all they needed up there, mountain is very...More

We booked an excursion through our hotel. We had the driver take us to the top of ancient thera to see the amazing view as the top and also to see the ruins. Very interesting

Well worth a visit, the unearthed structures and reconstructions make for an interesting historical visit. The price of €4 each is a small price to pay, even if it’s just for the backdrop views! Well worth a visit

Oh my days. Breathtaking. If you’re able & down for the challenge, walk up the full road route - there are plenty of benches to stop at in the shade (with unbelievable views) and the traffic isn’t too heavy to be worried about it, just...More

Ancient Thera is at the top of a mountain and well worth a visit for anyone enjoying archeology . Just a word of warning it is worth the 10euro fare for a mini bus up and down the winding road then to access the site...More
