This archeological site is less popular than Akrotiri site but it is certainly better. Walking around the site you can imagine how people lived thousand years ago. Moreover you got a wonderful view of Kamari and Perissa from the top of the mountain. An advice:...More

OMG what a road and what amazing views! The site is really nicely preserved and worth the trip up, but the road itself is a must! It's one of the steepest roads I've been to, with very tight curves and 45 degree inclination. We drove...More

It's a hell of a climb on foot but more than achievable with two or four wheels. The last bit is on foot, try to chose a day that is not too windy as at the top it really does get blustery, well you are...More

Well worth a visit as it is on top of a mountain (regular mini buses can take you there) so the view of the island is amazing. Also very interesting to see how they lived , also how many different influences as they were invaded...More

Walking up to A. Thira was a good trek but not very well signposted at the start of the walk. Could also take a car / van up but you would miss the spectacular views on the climb up.

A windy steep road takes you up to spectacular views of Santorini . It was super windy and hot so early morning is best to avoid the heat in August.

On top of a mountain, very windy, we rode up on a scooter, parking is free. The journey up is an adventure itself. It would be a very long walk up, estimate an hour minimum. Place itself is very rugged but the trip is so worth...More

I'm not sure of the opening time. However I recommend that you ascend in the morning as it is fairly strenuous climb, and doing it in the heat is not good. Obviously, have suitable footwear and take water. It is worth the... More
