Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I was interested in this green space because, in addition to being beautiful, it contains a colony of flying foxes (a type of bat), which lives in its trees.
We parked inside the park, which has a large space for it.
We saw it very neat, with well-kept grass and plants, trees, walking paths, barbecues and children's games. There are pleasant areas to rest with views of the river channel and the beautiful houses located in front. You can also visit the Kokoda Memorial, a war memorial.
We walked throughout the park along a rustic path in search of bats, but we could not find them, until we finally found the area of trees where there were a large number of these particular animals. We were able to contemplate and photograph them calmly and without disturbing them. There are signs at the site with information about this species.
The park is ideal for walking and picnics. In our case, photos, walking and rest were enough to enjoy.

Update 20 Nov 2021, there is new garden called Seniors Garden, there are many beautiful garden attractions mostly dedicated to Dementia Australia from Cedar House Mudgeeraba , I am very impressed with this new addition. I have been here about 11 times mostly passing through on my bike. It’s such an interesting park it’s multi purpose firstly a war memorial so some great history it view, secondly it’s home to the largest bat colony’s on the Gold Coast and lastly it’s a beautiful manicured garden with a huge variety of flowers also there is about 6 Barbecue s and riverside seating as well as a lush forest walk all in one small area... right in the city, so cool. Plenty of parking or you can just ride your bike or better walk so you miss nothing , bring your camera.

There is a small playground in the area and some rotundas to sit under. The area is filled with some bamboo and wetlands-type trees (sorry not a botanist- trees with roots that come from the branches above). The houses across the lake all have boats outside them and on real-estate.com it looks like some are worth 10mil+. Fancy.

Absolutely lovely - a slice of very well maintained serenity in the middle of the Gold Coast. Clean, well maintained and peaceful. On the banks of a canal, lots of birds, respectful war memorials , undercover picnic areas and only minutes walk from Florida Gardens Tram station. A well kept secret.

This large park is well maintained and absolutely beautiful. Situated between Broadbeach and Surfers Paradise it has plenty of space to enjoy activities in the park oir to find a location for some peace and tranquility away from the busy Gold Coast lifestyle

I walked to Cascade Gardens on a cloudy Wednesday afternoon. I read that it was full of waterfalls and water fountains but when I arrived they were not running (bit of a bummer). Regardless, the park was beautifully kept and seemed to be divided into two main sections. One was a densely vegetated area with concrete paths to walk around on. There are beautiful trees, vines, and shrubs that create a perfect home for groups of flying-foxes (a species of bat) that hang out on the high branches and chat to each other during the day and many other birds that fly around doing their daily business. Further south is an area thats has open grassy areas with fewer trees, a park for children (including a swing for wheelchair-bound children) and lots of picnic tables. It was clean, peaceful, and I very much enjoyed walking around, despite no functioning waterfalls. Lots of free parking too.

The Cascade Gardens are one of the best parks on the gold coast, it is in a perfect position, close to Pacific fair, Casino, Conventional Centre and Surfers Paradise. It has a lot to offer for the whole family. It has barbeques, picnic shelters, picnic tables playground ( there is a Liberty Swing for children in wheelchairs ), walking tracks toilets and tap water also a boat ramp. Plenty of shady trees and wild birds, while there you can also visit The Queensland Korean War Memorial and about 100 meters away you can visit the Rotary Kokoda Memorial Wall and Walk. Because of it beauty people even have wedding there. Just a perfect place for a relaxing time.

We stroll down to Cascade Gardens quiet often for a picnic by the water and to feed the local birds and fish.
There is a large grassed area an extensive area beneath the trees to wander through and almost a bush walk into and out of the Gardens. Also, plenty of parking.

We live near the cascade gardens and. Walk through it regularly.. it has a beautiful rainforest to enjoy so many beautiful views it's very tranquil and there are also some fantastic monuments to kokoda track and the Korean War .. lots of nature and my favourite are the water dragons
It's a very large park right next to the Goldcoast highway and the river .. I notice quite a few tourist buses stopping mostly Chinese or Japanese ..it's only 1k from surfers paradise and you can reach it by walking or the tram .. 10 out of 10

Can I walk my dog on a lead in these gardens?
Written 13 April 2019
You should be able to do it. I've seen other people walking their dogs here. Also not many people in this garden. Do remember to pick up their poop and dispose properly.

Does the park have access to a cafe? Somewhere to buy lunch?
Written 8 May 2017
You definitely have to bring food with you. Nice atmosphere there though
