Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What a lovely little facility! It's only a short stroll down the beach from downtown Broadbeach and well worth it. Amateur art is always of variable quality and appeal but you always have to admire people willing to give it a go and there's certainly lots of variety so bound to be something that appeals. And the mondrianesque building is also cute, and replete with a little coffee shop. Recommended when in 'Goldy'.

We have tried a lot of coffee places in Broadbeach and this is one of the best. You can customize if you like. The venue is comfortable on a park and across from the beach. The barista was a very special lady. The paintings are varied and talented. A wonderful little respite on our walking tour of the area.

For a gallery run by volunteers this gallery is the best I have visited. The members were friendly and the gallery has a great array of art. It has a coffee shop attached and is a great place to spent a few hours. It is set right opposite the beach and presents a fine collection of art done by local artists.

I saw this little gallery and decided I had the time to drop in with my 10 year old daughter. They were drinking wine and had platters of cheese about the place the Sunday we dropped in.

THE GALLERY
What a delightful mix of paintings, drawings, pastel, photography and sculpture
Upstairs was a little sparse, but there was plenty to see downstairs

This I would have to say would have to be one of the better Art Galleries entirely run by volunteers, the artists themselves.
Apparently there are 400 members and they have around 200 art works on display at any time; all for sale at what seems to be very reasonable prices. If looking for something yourself you are bound to see a painting that you like.
There is also a small section they call "gift Shop"; small paintings, great for a memento, and Cards printed with their paintings.
The display or exhibition is completely changed at the end of each month so you might be lucky enough to see two entirely different exhibitions depending on your Gold Coast stay.
You may even be there for the "Opening" of an exhibition, have wine and "finger food", and mix with the artists.
While you are on the Coast it would be a great place to spend some time, and into the bargain it's right on the for-shore, the beach with flags (Life Saving club next door), and two great Coffee Cafe's near by.

We found the Broadbeach art gallery by chance. What a great place to visit. Small gallery not too big to overwhelm. Very helpful (volunteer) staff. An enjoyable afternoon. Would check it out again next time we visit the Gold Coast.

We were wishing to view some local artists works whilst on holiday and were recommended to drop into RQAS at Broabeach. What a pleasant surprise we got with the wide variety of works on display and available for sale. Thoroughly recommend dropping in.

We were intending to visit one of the plays or music performances offered in the Arts Centre catalogue to only find that what is on offer is exorbitantly expensive. Is The Arts only for the rich? For example, single tickets are sold at $57 per person that is $114 for two or $228 for a family of four! Add to that something in the interval and travel to and from and parking fees and the best of $350 has been spent on the performance. Does it ever come homes to the organizers that apples are compared with apples - that is, what else is on offer at a lesser price? Please lets have ARTS for the people and not only for those who swim in it (money)! I will make a point of not attending performances at this Arts Centre and take my hard earned money elsewhere. If there still is an affordable elsewhere on the Gold Coast? Maybe I should take my family to another place all together!
