Since the funding has been cut for the wardens there has been a slight decline in the upkeep of walkways the main path in seems to get narrower every time I go. I do get a little disgruntled at the amount of dog owners who do pick up after their... More

Not far from Selby. The nature reserve is great for picnics and spotting wildlife on the ponds. Excellent for walks and a good way to spend a leisurely afternoon.

I have used this site for many years even before it was deemed a nature reserve. If my memory works well it was an ex army stores area and some ordinance is still there for kids to climb on. The walk is good for all levels and if the day is fine especially in late spring then all to be... More

However, don't follow the postcode given on trip advisor. It doesn't take you to Barlow Common. Google their website instead for it. We took the dog. There is a path round, which is about two miles long. It was a nice walk in a lovely area.

Who would have thought a tiny village would have this hidden gem?! Spent a lovely Sunday afternoon walking around Barlow Common which also had activities on for all the family and to keep kids entertained. Will definitely go back here again.

Really enjoyed walking the dog here, very peaceful and different routes allow for a change, dogs need to stay on the lead but ours still enjoyed it x
