Some years ago just a ruin, today a beautifully restored mediaeval castle. It is easy to get there by car, has a spacious (approx. 100 cars) parking lot. Beautiful scenery and landscape. It could have more historical informatin but still a very nice place to...More

Massive castle stands alone atop a hill in the middle of the countryside.  Worth the 10 lei entrance fee for the view over the foothills, which are covered in fields as far as the eye can see.  Stop on the way to Sighişoara to break...More

This castle is really nice from the outside but i dont understand the other comments because there is really nothing inside. You pay 10lei the entrance to see only empty room but nothing more no exposition and poor explanations

Very disappointed to see fortress up close. Restoration materials used looked fake. The fortress looked great from afar.

nicely restored fortress in the middle of rupea. 8 ron per adult for the entrance. decent, but more info would have been nice. only rooms and walls with no weapons or clothing from that area. very well preserved.

Well worth the visit if you're passing by as we were. The entrance fee is not high. The experience could have been a tad more ''authentic'' (some details of restoration/renovation, interior, the story within the walls could be more intense-for example- the monitors didn't work...)....More
