Had a chance to visit this area. My only drawback was that it was closed during the week. Nit sure if that was normal or just bad timing on my part. It was nicely restored.

Vivid details of the history of the lighthouse and the area. But do walk with bug spray, it wasn’t very bad on my visit but locals say the bugs can be overwhelming at times.

Drove over to see the museum during the open hours posted online. It was closed. Looks like a sweet local area spot to quickly explore. Next time.

We apologize, if you came by on a Saturday-it is based on volunteer availability and sometimes volunteers cannot stay as long as they hoped or end up not being available. Please come back and see us next time you are in town.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and the two buildings were very educational. This is not a place I would make a special trip to, but couple it with the other activities in the area, such as the Light House and a lunch at Down the...More

After exploring the lighthouse we decided to visit the museum. It was very interesting to learn the history of the town. It's free and highly recommend.

Very nice historical surprise! On our way home we decided to followup on a suggestion made by a local couple we met at dinner. We mentioned we wanted to see/do something different in the area that we hadn't done before, so they suggested this site....More
