If staying in Trapani in Sicily I can only advise you a trip to Favignana island. There are 2 options how to get there by boat - Siremar boat is 10,3 EUR each way, Ustica lines is 8,8 EUR each way (no difference in quality)....More

The waters are crystal clear, allowing one to see the sea floor 30 plus feet beow. Outstading snorkeling and swimming: probably the islands' greatest asset.
