Visited Palazzo Florio recently during a visit to the island of Favigniana. But unfortunately I did not get to see the inside since it was closed for some kind of private exhibit or function. Didn't understand exactly why. Too bad because I'm sure it would have been a worthy visit. The gardens around the palazzo are very nice and neatly... More

The building makes nice impression : there was an exposition in the building ... Simply nice and cool (weather) place to stay a while as it was quite hot when we were there in favignano

It is by far the most beautiful building on the island, this property of historical importance in the beginning was the residence of the wealthy family that owns the adjacent trap. Today the building is used as a museum exhibit, the garden is also nice and fairly well cared.

Any visitor to this fascinating island will see the majestic building of Palazzo Florio on the approach to the town centre from the ferry. It is well worth stopping to take a look at this very beautiful building and its lovely gardens. Once the residence of the Florio family who managed and owned the highly important tuna industry, it is... More

The Florio family ruled the tuna business for many years. This was a summer resort. Nice building which is used for town meetings. Nice view of the harbor.
