We happened to pass this hydroelectric power station on our extended walk and decided to pop in - you could just walk in, amazing! from the gallery we could admire the AEG turbines and the explanatory comments were really useful. Worth seeing!

This is one of the oldest power stations in Bavaria and still working today. Entry to the information centre is FREE and worth a visit if you are interest in the history of the Walchensee
