Don't believe the brochure when it says "80 pistes". We were there immediately after an 18" dump of snow and you would expect all pistes to be open. They weren't. For example the Argillien Express and Arnouvaz lifts never opened all week so that whole...More

La Thuile, sitting at 1450 meters above sea level in the Valle d'Aosta, is not particularly beautiful. There is one nice, old hotel, and a few old clustered buildings from the times when the place was just a small mountain village, but everything else is...More

The ski resort of La Thuile is fantastic. A vast ski area with quiet pistes and lifts. Great friendly people. Town is quiet compared to the famous French resorts.
