Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Such a beautiful place. We did the yellow train. A tiny bit uphill but even for the extremely unfit (like myself ) it's completely doable. It has beautiful view points - two places with a little bench/viewpoint for pictures or to stop if you have some snacks! So scenic. I have attached photos to show how beautiful. This is no filters. Honestly doesn't take long to do. We faffed about taking lots of pictures and stopping and the yellow route took half an hour. Best place for young kids - plenty to explore. Hoping to come back and do all routes. We were short on time.

It is a very beautiful place to go, especially in the morning; as there is nearly nobody. Ducks can be often seen. If you wanna walk around it, it is about 1km with seats. I would definetely recommend it. They are many ways to access it through forest paths. But even if you get the wrong way in, you will still end up at the same place.

Absolutely stunning forest hike with loch views at the end. The walk was also accessible and one of the easier ones I've done (dodgy hips). It's also very quiet and free from crowds.
There is a car park but no other facilities.
Definitely worth the trip

Great morning activity to burn off breakgfast before heading home on Wednesday. 3 easy trails follow red, blue and yellow paths. Great views across little loch, Loch Leven and all surrounding peaks. Agree with other posters on the rich history of the Lochan itself and gory heritage of clan conflicts in previous centuries.

Walk takes 1hour 30mins. nice views over Loch Leven higher up.Quite steep at the start, but there are various walk options so you don't have to do the steep part but if you want the views!

A beautiful, serene area. We enjoyed taking the yellow and red paths. We walked from the village, which added 40 minutes to the hike. There is parking at the trailhead. I wish I had more time to explore the region. Only saw about 10 people at 4 PM.

When you are coming up to the turning for this, the sign will also say 'Glencoe House Hotel', it's just after a sharp bend. You drive along a track which heads to the hotel, but turn off right, just before it. The lochan is actually in the grounds of the hotel.
When you arrive, there is tons of parking, and plenty of shady bits to pull into to keep your car cool, if you have your dog with you. All on the flat, and wheelchair accessible. Only a short easy walk of less than 2 mins from car park to lochan. For the more adventurous, there are walks leading off it.
Beautiful spot, easy to find, and easy for an old dog to manage.

Wow. We were looking for a simple, not too challenging walk on New Year's day. This is the place.
Three trail options are clearly marked, ranging from a flat, simple walk which would suit almost anyone. No more challenging than a walk in a typical local park. Alternative routes are available which involve a moderate effort and reach slightly higher levels, again, nothing too challenging. Paths are well maintained. Views at all levels are stunning. Routes ranging from 45 minutes to 90 minutes.
Suitable for most physical abilities and you shouldn't need a GPS navigator or compass to find your way round either.

We just fancied a little heart-starter, and this place was suggested. From the car park, there are 3 walks, yellow, red and blue, and they vary in “difficulty” with yellow being a low-level woodland walk, red also low-level, around Lochan, and the blue (which we chose), that takes you away from, and up from the Loch, affording a great view from the top, along Loch Leven. The blue takes around 45 minutes to complete. Very well marked, and the paths are well maintained. Probably avoid the blue if it’s really wet, as the slopes are short, but severe.
