Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Nice mountain river with clear and very cold water. Locals say that is whole year about 4-7 degrees. Perfect experience swimming in that cold water. Also reccomend rafting with exetreme rafting company - also suitable for kids.

A great and golden experience! Water was crystal clear and clean. The rivers shore was beautiful. Spent a whole day in nature, the bridge had history and the cafes nearby were amazing! Definitely recommend!

Considere a family trail, it has some parts that are more challenging. Our family, with two over-60 members, handled it wonderfully, but was surprised of the hike's unexpected difficulty.

The most stunning part of the river arises from the springs at the bottom of the Vikos Gorge near the village of Vikos, where there is a romantically sited monastery and several ice-cold pools for the brave to cool off. There are also a lovely walk along the river from the bridge on the Aristi-Papingo road NW in the direction of Klidonia.

The hiking along Voidomatis is especially pleasant in summer. Trees shade the paths and the river offers refreshment (drinkable water or even a quick swim).

Wonderful walking in the region's eternal spring! Contrary to most of the country, all is green.

You are in Voidomatis river ... welcome to the cleanest river in Europe . The beauty is breathtaking and after having rafting with TREKKING HELLAS (ask for Manolis - great guy , very professional) , I saw spots I couldn't imagine that exist in my country .
The water of the river is extremely cold , I doubt you can swim without a neopren suit (I didn't try it without my suit), but the experience of just opening your mouth and drinking crystal clear water is fabulous.
Trekking paths which lead to the river start almost from every village , so go for it .
Truly , one of my favorite places .

Georgios at Papaevengelou in Mikro Papingo told us about this walk and it was well worth it. The trail goes along the river but there are some steep up and down bits and it's quite tough if you go all the way to the taverna at the end. If you do get there they have lovely trout to eat so it is well worth it.

rafting may be fun, but the walk along the Voidomatis river is a fantastic fresh nature's experience. We started our walk at Aristi's bridge and after 2hrs ended our day in Klidonia bribge. trail is generally well marked, generally follows the river's bank with some small up/downs. ideal walk in zagori for those who cant do the longer vikos gorge(6.5hrs). parking is allowed-free at either side, best have 2 cars or arrange a taxi from Konitsa for the transfer back to start point.

Our friends , my husband and me went rafting in the Voidomatis river .It was so much fun !!
There are many extreme sports companies , we chose the :
''en fisei'', because Christos , Zeta and Aris were very friendly .
It was a great fun , and also sightseeing of the river .
It was like being in an amusement park , thrilled but not scared .
Zeta , always , knew what to tell you to do , she was not only the guide but the leader .
Rafting was so exciting because : the river was so beautiful , the scenery was breath taking .Suddenly it started snowing ( we were well dressed , they had given us neopren suits ,helmets , plastic coats etc.) then raining , then sun shining .
It was marvellous .
Do not miss it !!
