Had fun watching the surfers!

Big wide beautiful beach. Great waves for surfing and also for shell collecting. Great for jogging and or walking.

Good soft waves good for beginners and intermediate both. Sometimes crowded but not nearly as bad as Santa Teresa

Even though this is surfers paradise and I can't surf, this beach was a highlight of my trip through Central America. It's protected land so no developments and a beautiful walk for sunrise and sunset. It is safe to swim in the shallow part but you still need to watch out for the strong currents. Watching the kids surf going... More

The people are not stand-off-ish..... actually the very opposite period they treat you as if you've been there all along. If you need anything there always helpful. The beach is beautiful and so are the surroundings. The town is fantastic if you like that laid back, yoga, meditation and healthy type of living. Pura Vida all the way!

Calm waves, good surfing, nice sandy beach, great sea shells. Gets hot, so make sure you bring water and sunscreen!

No rocks under the water, no coral cutting up your feet. Just a perfect consistent beach break. Closer to the beach for beginners, farther out the back for those in the know. The water is 83 degrees year round. Come on. . .

Nice beach with some area's where there is shadow but just a little. If you are not here for surfing you need to be early to find a shadow spot

If I had not traveled to many other beach towns along the Nicoya Peninsula first, I likely would have given a slightly better rating but I thought the vibe here was a buzzkill. The average American raves about Nosara and I can see why - you feel just like you are at home in America. I spent a just under... More

This is a great surfing or boogie boarding beach. That said, not the best for swimming unless you don't mind getting pounded by waves as the sets are solid all day long here. We laid out here and walked on this beautiful beach many times on our trip. It's a very pretty place to relax and kick back. There are... More
