Be careful not to go too close to the cliff edge, as there is a lot of fairly recent erosion. Very good vantage point to view the Swallows feeding. Nice view of Port Stanley to the East. Saw two Turkey buzzards, but no Hawks. Warrior193.

If you are naturalist by nature ,this is a good place to observe birds of prey ,especially in the fall and spring when they are migrating. There is usually a naturalist group there and most people will readily answer questions for you

Hawk's Cliff is a small cliff overlooking lake erie. This local hotspot is by no means developed, but crazy popular for birders and substance abusers alike. This is a very dangerous location because of the cliffs steep and immediate decline. I recommend it for tourists...More

Highly recommend attending one of their weekend events, great experience for kids & adults alike. Also a very peaceful place to go for a peaceful, contemplative stroll to get away from the hubbub of city life.

Though the edge is fenced off for safety reasons the new additional reserve will only help to improve what is Elgin County's birding spot.

This is one of many locations along the shores of Lake Erie to view (and count--if so inclined) migratory hawks. Hawks tend to "kettle" on the up drafts when winds blow in from the Lake from the southwest. Kettleing can be spectacular. The area itself...More
