Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Gumruk Han is a huge labyrinth of tiny alleys that make the Urfa's central bazaar. It has everything you might think of - clothes, jewelry, household items, wood products, food, spices, etc....
There's no way you can't get lost but that's the funniest thing. People are friendly, but no one speaks English.
Prices are very cheap - it's not like Kapali Charsi in Istanbul with tourist inflated prices. Enjoy your time wandering around.

It is the busiest inn among the old Urfa bazaars .It is known that it was built by Behram Pasha during the reign of Sultan Süleyman the Magnificent in the mid 16th century during the Ottoman period. It was named seventy han in the travel book of Evliya Çelebi. It is reported that it is a caravanserai, not an inn. Since 2 colored stones were used in the construction of the inn, it is known among the public as a Alaca han. It is the most magnificent and monumental inn of Şanlıurfa. The water of the lake with fish and plane trees passing through it make the inn even more beautiful. A tea or coffee you will drink here after visiting urfa bazaars will make you incredibly happy.

We went to drink pistachio meningic coffee, it is as much as it says. Coffee was good. Prices are not like in big cities. Suitable. They have written in other comments. It is true that restaurants, cafes and shopkeepers are mixed together. It's a mess. There is nothing to be bothered about, but this may be a minus in terms of tourism. It is not clear which table belongs to which tradesman and which cafe. You can eat here, we didn't choose it. A place right next to the bazaar. You can stop by while visiting the Grand Bazaar. For those who smoke, visit the tobacconists in this inn :) the prices are affordable.

When I went to the customs office with my friend , we ate the Halil master’s place , but the price was not good in terms of performance . And we wanted coffee and tea — the coffee came very quickly . But the tea didn’t arrive. I think a business culture needs to evolve. Requested or not apologized. It’s among the places I don’t include in my itineraries.

Lovely large covered courtyard cafe, cool in the heat of the day. Lots of seats and locals. Only had tea so can’t comment on the food, but great place to stop and catch your breath.

Gümrük Han is a traditional cafe and famous with ' Menengiç Kahvesi'. This coffee is made with wild pistachio. And cook with milk not water. There is no sugar in it but its sweet.

The old bazaar of Sanliurfa is as colorful as the main attraction, Balikli Gol, offering interesting variety of shops selling local art crafts, to modern home accesories, spices to shoes, in a historic setting. No visitor should miss strolling in the old bazaar and no excitement in this labirent of shops will be complete if not a break taken at 16 th century cervanserai, Gumruk Hani, for a cup of tea or coffee if not for a cold drink.

The octagonal yard surrounded by two story cervanserai was built in 1563 by a local governor of Suleiman the Magnificient. The stream of Balikli Gol, Halil Ul Rahman passes through the yard. The old trees on the court yard offers a cool setting . The place is popular among both visitors and locals so you have a chance to catch the old bazaars spirit. You can play blackgammon etc. while sipping your drinks you may try mirra, a strong local coffee served in tiny cups with no handle.
The structure has two doors, one opening to bedesten, old bazzar selling local scarfs and outfits, the other open to the open old bazaar.
I would definately recommend to stop by at this lovely cortyard .

The Gümrük Han is a nice place to relax while strolling through the old city and the souks. Recommend to drink a Menengüc coffee.

You must have a break here at the 16th century ottoman time caravenserai to rest and have a cup of pistachio "menengiç" coffee, delicious.
