Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is the dominating and biggest Mosque in Urfa. It's set beneath the Urfa castle in a beautiful park between the Balikligol sacred fish lake and Urfa bazaar.
The Mosque seems newly built, probably during the 20c and you can enter it.
Right beside it to the left is an older Mosque where's the prophet Abraham's cave where he was born.

This is one of the several sites where it is said the Abraham (ancestor of the Jews and Arabs, aka the prophet Ibrahim in Islam) was born. The cave is a sacred site. This is also the site where it is said a spring of water protected Abraham from being burned by King Nimrod. There is a reflecting pool nearby where coi fish live, the are considered sacred by associtaion with the spring by which Abraham was protected.

The mosque we entered after walking a little while visiting Balıklı Lake. The courtyard is very beautiful. It was a church before. It later became a mosque. It was restored. It is very lively and crowded. Even if you don't go inside, you can see the courtyard. It is a historical mosque.

This is the place of all religions. It is quite exiting standing front while thinking about the parable! And there are lots of important place for archeology and religion closer around such as Gobekli tepe and Harran.

Based on Jewish and Muslim beliefs the prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) was born in Sanliurfa. This is the location of his birth and where his mother raised him for the first few years of his life protecting him from the evil intents of King Nemrut. A fairly expansive are housing the cave where the prophet was kept sheltered, a few beautiful historic mosques and a lake where you can feed the fish. There is a tremendous amount of history associated with the location so do look up into it.
