This monument tells about the history of the allied landings in 1944 to make sure the harbour of Antwerp could be reached. For me it was an unknown history.

We lucked into perfect June weather and enjoyed the beach. Lots of people sitting out on the sand but few in the water. Great scenic views and history. A tank was sitting on the beach! Wish I had more time here. Could have stayed here...More

We arrived in Westkapelle not knowing all the history and were just awed by what we learned. The monuments are incredible to see and to remember all who gave their lives so we can do these things we do.
