While on a weekendtrip around Holten/Hengelo/Markelo, we decided to visit this cemetry. It is very well maintained and the visitor centre is woth a visit. Impressive to see al the remains of the young soldiers, the flowers and the notes from relatives.

One of many visits to Canadian War Memorials and cemeteries while visiting The Netherlands, France and Belgium. The site is immaculately maintained and a grim reminder of the loss of life and contribution of the Canadian Military in Europe.

Beautifully situated war cemetery in the middle of a forest. Striking that all headstones have their own text, probably from their families. In the index, you can get a rough idea of how many young guys are here. Died in late April and early May...More

Very beautiful. Very well kept. Very nice drive to get to it. Makes a fellow Canadian proud of what our soldiers did in the name of peace

We visited just after 4 May when the Dutch commemorate Remembrance Day for their fallen soldiers, especially those of WWII. Each of the more than 1,500 graves was adorned with two roses. How touching.
