The upper floor of the museum have displays showing mechanical principles that I have not seen at other technology musea. Worth a visit with childeren age 10 plus.

This museum at the Industriestraat in Hengelo is about 600 metres from the trainstation (backside). You find a lot of industrial heritage about former industrie in the city. Companies like Stork, Hazemeier, Signaal and Heemaf tell their story. For children from about 8 its good.

The ground floor of this museum is mostly filled with steam engines, most of which actually run at the press of a button. I've seen such engines in many places, but it is rare to see them running, and usually you cannot operate them yourself....More
