I would not recommend to travel to Egmond to visit this museum. But if you are here anyway to enjoy the beautiful beach it is nice to visit the museum. It won't take much of your time, but gives a nice overview of the village...More
Hidden away in Zuiderstraat lies a gem of a museum showing the over 1,000 year history of Egmond aan Zee. It is well worth a quick visit out of the sun/wind/rain (otherwise known as Dutch weather). You won't be disappointed!

The charming museum is small and gives an insight into local history of the former fishing village.
Larger musea are found in Alkmaar and Bergen.In my opinion worth a visit if you are in the village and want a break from the beach.
